I have these solar lights on my deck. For the price, I find these a great value. I bought the 8 pack using 7 lights on the deck. The remaining light I placed above my house number as it is quite dark where we live due to few street lights. So far they have met/exceeded my expectations. I used the two-sided adhesive tape to attach the lights as I didn't want to drill holes in my deck railing but it is nice to have the option. I purchased these as replacement for battery powered solar lights. They are well made, provide three options of white light, which is great. They seem to charge amply each day to provide light through the night. I use them on my wrought iron fence as a lighting feature, not for lighting the yard, so they are perfect for that purpose. These provide great light and a nice touch on the fence in our back yard. We bought the 12 pack and they were easily installed with a template. If we have a fully sunny day, the ones that are in the sunlight all day do last the majority of the night. Some are shaded for part of the day and I’ve found only last about 3-4 hours. However, one of these failed within two weeks and another just went out after about two months. I’m thinking of getting another 12 pack to serve as replacements, but really shouldn’t have to do that. For the price, I can’t complain too much but it’s not unreasonable to expect a little more longevity from these. If you’re going to buy these, wait for them to go on sale and buy about 50% more than what you need to serve as replacements. Read more
These lights were on from sundown to sunrise - after 7am! They look beautiful and are easily installed. Perhaps too easy…they’re not screwed into the fence themselves - the light is just hung on the screws so I expect them to fly off in strong wind. That’s the only negative. Very quick failure rate, these are NOT waterproof, contacted seller, no response. I bought 3 12 packs of these about 2 months ago, 1 didn't work when received, 2 more failed in first 30 days. After taking the time to mount these on 30+ fence posts, there have been multiple failures in the last month, very frustrating. Each time, there is visible water inside the light. I have purchased so many solar lights on Amazon with AMAZING longevity for a lot lower cost than these. TOTAL WASTE OF OUR TIME AND MONEY!! Read more
I installed them in our driveway gate last night with the tape that is included, I will change the tape for the screws later,I just wanted to try them. It was around 7pm last night when installed them, this picture was taken at 6am today, 11 hrs later and they are still on! they are the perfect small size that I wanted for the sides of the driveway gate, good amount of light, you have 3 types of light to choose, we love warm lights. Very satisfied with these 2 lamps. They stayed on all night and the tape is still holding each lamp. Read more
I got 24 of them and they looked great at first. The tape stuck well to the cement post, but about 8 of them fell down because the tape did not stick to the plastic case. Now that I added stronger tape, about 25 percent of the lights won't stay on at all. I may take one apart and try and find out why. Update: I've changed my rating to 3 stars (from 1). Now that I've had them a little longer, they just need a lot of good sunlight to work. We've had clouds and some of them are on posts that do not get as much sunlight. Read more
