Sony NWZE463BLUE Walkman MP3 Player

I'm a music enthusiast who changes around my playlists almost daily. I'm a stickler for being able to see my playlist clearly and for being able to switch songs around without too much hassle. Every player I've bought at the store has deeply disappointed me. They either don't clearly show the playlist or they don't even have a playlist option. I've also had problems with faulty players that sometimes quit on me or erase my music for no apparent reason. Sony Walkman is the only brand I trust. These players are getting harder to find at the store and I usually have to purchase them online. They are also a bit more in price than most players, but it is definitely worth it. I've had one player for almost 15 years and it's still going strong. Sony has a really easy menu that lets you customize almost everything to your liking. I have also had no problems with the player syncing up to my computer even after operating systems have changed time and time again. These players also have great sound. The only issue I have is that newer versions of the Walkman are not as sturdy as my older player and the newer versions are prone to crack and chip in the corners, as well as the audio plug-in on the newer versions sometimes doesn't have as much of a grip as the plug on older versions (this means that sometimes the headphones will make crackling noises or cut out because they're not holding inside the player as strongly). I would recommend the players more than a couple of years old because they are built better and they last longer. Read more

This is my 2nd sony mp3 player. My last one lasted 3.5 years before the battery started not wanting to hold a charge. If all you want is something to listen to music on then this is an awesome player. I don't do audiobooks so for me thats not an issue I've had it for 2 weeks and have dropped it twice...still works perfectly. It has an amazingly long battery life....I've owned 4 previous mp3 players (2 creatives, a previous generation sony and a sansa) and this one blows the others away with how long a charge lasts I have two complaints...the screen scratches easily and its had to make a playlist atleast without using the sony software Read more

I got this just four days ago and today the left ear piece just stopped working! I think this is a great mp3 player for anyone to get. except that when I got it I thaute that you could take pictures and videos on it. but apparently you cant, all you can do is download pictures on it. and I dont even know if you can do that! I'm just guessing that you can. and the mp3 player color sucks its not the same color in the picture at ALL! and I dont like the color I would rather just have plain white instead. Read more

My daughter wanted a new mp3 player for her birthday so I began the search for something perfect for a 10 year old. Came across a version like this one at Best Buy and then came here to check reviews and prices. We decided to get it since Sony also has a docking station designed just for their mp3 players. Perfect!!!! Just what she wanted. She loves the color of her unit plus finds it very easy to navigate through the screens looking for her pictures, videos, music and voice recordings. My girl is all about the drama and gets a real kick out of the voice recorder. We got her a 4 GB and find it still has plenty of room for her to add things in the future. The only negative we found were the earbuds that came included are very uncomfortable. But that doesn't matter to us since I prefer her to use regular headphones. Like the player. All around it was a good present for my daughter. Lots of features that she likes. I was a little disapointed that the screen had so many scratches. I read the description and understood this to be a re-furbished item. But, like I said, still a good player overall. Read more

If you're not ready to splurge on an iPod, then this is a great affordable little MP3 player. I thought it was the perfect device/gift for an elementary school kid who wanted a portable music device. If it gets dropped, lost or broken, it doesn't hurt as much. If you want to see if your child is ready from a responsibility perspective for electronic devices this is a good place to start. Read more
