I was looking for set of connected earbuds to wear when exercising. With the two independent buds, it's too easy for one to fall out and get stepped on before you realize it. These are connected together so you get an extra chance to catch one if it pops out. This style of earbud used to be everywhere, but when I wore my last set out, it was almost impossible to find another set. Everything now is either two independent buds, or connected with a too-long wire, and a stiff "neck band" that gets in the way of everything. The PEATS Q40 HD is one of the few options left for connected buds with just a simple, short wire between them and not a "neck band". Sound is good, and Bluetooth pairing was flawless. Volume is adequate, although I could wish for a little more for certain kinds of music. Battery life is decent -- I've run these all night without issue -- and they recharge quickly from a USB connection. They don't include ANC -- which is surprising, since everything seems to come with that these days -- but that wasn't an essential feature for me, so I don't really miss it. Each bud has a strong magnet in it, which causes them to stick together if they get close together. Not sure if this was intended to be a "feature" -- I find it more annoying than anything else. Otherwise, good functional buds for a decent price. Would buy them again. Read more

Sound great. I've had the Q30, Q35 and Now the Q40. The cord is longer the the previous models and just getting used to that, not complaining but just a little different. I use these all day 4 days a week. I think the Q30 lasted about 2 years before one ear started cutting out. Sound great, long battery life and for the price can't beat them. I will continue to buy this product. I did buy a set of the individual ear model but didn't like them as much. I like that you can hang them around your neck as well. Read more

I read many reviews and was very skeptical in purchasing these. I have been using these for around 6 years and have only had two pairs, both being Q30. I say this because they are very durable! I use them while working out, at work where I paint and hang wallpaper, and for leisure. These guys are tough for a gal like me who digs them out of a hole of some kind everytime I use them. After reading comments I feared they would not be as useful. A few weeks later I can vouch they are just as lovely! The string is much longer than the 30s but did not take much time to get used to and I could care less now. Also the sound is just as great. When powered on, her voice saying “power on” is and echo and did worry me. However, that’s not the case for sound. They put out just as great. They are as always a bang for the buck! Well worth what we are paying for them. I actually like the longer string now because this wire had always twisted in a way that annoys me while running. Now the wire is long enough I can tuck it in my shirt or sports bra to keep from jumping around and twisting up to where it will not get close to my neck! Hope this review helps all the native Soundpeaters! Read more

Long time soundpeats customer. These are probably the best version of this product they have had. I do miss the magnetic charging era but these use usb-c now so there is no issues finding a charger now... Better sound quality than before and maybe the best selling point is their earbud shapes have always been the best - they stay in your ear, even when running, shooting hoops, etc. When i lose these, ill get more soundpeats. Quality is diminishing, likely through cost cutting. I have had SoundPeats for years. I bought Q30's in Sept 2022, and they were great! Bought them as gifts in Dec 2022, and Feb 2024, then replaced my own pair in Jan 2025. Even still as Q30's, the quality had declined. Audio just wasn't as good! Now, I just bought this pair of Q40's as a gift, but opened them first. The audio quality was maintained, but the overall quality diminished even further. The wire between ear-pieces is longer and far thinner. The button box on the string is bulkier and feels cheaper, and is heavier on the long, thin string. They are still decent headphones, but with 5 pairs purchased over the last 3 years, I have just watched the quality significantly decline with time. SoundPEATS needs to fix this trend, and make the Q50's of the highest QUALITY - both in sound and in hardware. Read more

Have ordered this a couple of times now, the Q30 and the Q40. Battery life and sound are good, but SoundPEATS products seems to last about a year (or until they get lost...). Magnets are strong enough to keep around your neck confidently and they stay in the ear securely even when working out with weights. This is what I bought when Anker stopped making this style and I found them a solid replacement, but the Ankers were a step above. Read more

Huge fan of the Q30 & Q35. Q35 didn’t last quite as long unfortunately - about a year until this week when one ear went out - was going to combine usage with the Q40. Just got the Q40 and like the longer/thinner cord as well as the ‘PowerOn/Off’ voice. The volume is much louder and richer than the Q35. Hopefully the Q40 lasts longer than a year. I typically buy 2 pairs but with the longer battery life on these, hoping I won’t need to. Read more
