Economical, high quality, beautiful sound
Given to my grandson for Christmas, and he was thrilled! He is only 20 months old but very musically inclined. It is light weight but sturdy and yet has beautiful sound. The bonus to him was that the case fit him like Daniel Boones "coonskin cap" which he wears while playing. Win-win! Read more

Soft tones
My 3 yr old non verbal gr’son loved this!! He has music therapy at school and now we can carry it over at home. The tones were soft not tin like. Although he can’t read the music book, he makes his own music. Highly recommend. Read more

Could justify the price with a few small improvements
First the positive: drum had a very nice tone, seemed well made. I like that the notes go in order (do re mi etc) around the drum unlike others I’ve seen. Ultimately, I returned it for a few reasons. It seemed overpriced because: “mi” is spelled wrong. The random stickers— why not color coordinate the stickers with the song book? The idea of a bedtime story is cute, but the story and illustrations were pretty weak. The biggest problem is the mallets. The little rubber balls on the end pop right off. They aren’t even glued on! A few small improvements would make this worth the $50 price tag, but I could not justify the cost when it left so much to be desired. Read more
