These spanks are great- they definitely surprised me! I ordered for my wedding to wear with a silky, low-back dress with a leg slit. When I ordered these spanx, I was really concerned about the low back causing slippage or rolling of fabric in the front/belly area. These are reinforced on the sides so they don’t slip’ and- I didn’t even notice the reinforced sides when my husband and I had our first dance. The dance was quite the test of strength, flexibility and staying power of the spanx…. I am a retired pro figure skater. My fiancé and I wanted a choreographed first dance. Our dance was performed with lots of spins, dips, even overhead lifts! The spanx stayed in place- not only that, they were comfortable! I now wear these with other dresses even if they aren’t low back. These just glide over the body. I can’t say I feel much compression though- so if you’re looking to be sucked in, these may not be for you. I think the low back does limit the amount of compression you’ll have through the belly (maybe downsize for more? But I’m not sure it would get the desired effect) But if you’re looking to smooth lines and avoid pants lines (and/or use them as modesty shorts for a very active first dance 😉), they’re perfect. Perfect for my low back wedding dress! The dress itself didn’t have a super low cut, but I had a transparent corset that stopped literally a couple inches above my butt crack lol. I was so impressed that you couldn’t see the shapewear. Photos for reference! My shaper was black, which was no problem! It Didn’t rise up at the thighs very much. These shorts are more comfortable than I expected! They are not super restrictive, as I thought shapewear would be. They aren't too difficult to pull up, either, just takes a little more effort than regular shorts. I am 9 months postpartum with my second baby, so I have a little extra around my tummy. These hit at a nice spot on my stomach so that it actually helps minimize. Also the length is long enough to not be rolling up my thighs when I walk. I find them true to size. Read more
This Spanx shapewear definitely sucks in my gut. It’s very comfortable and held throughout the day. It has the elastic that sticks on your skin a bit, so it doesn’t drag down as you move. The lowered rear section is nice to show off certain dresses that shows off your back. The material is very though and will return back to its original shape. I ordered a size down, and I was worried that I was going to rip it, but ultimately, it holds very well. I’m very happy with this product and will definitely get more for my girlfriends! Read more
