Very reminiscent of the Maison Margiela's Tabi boots. These boots are awesome quality. Also, they are a fraction of the price of the originals which have been around since the early 90's. The traditional Japanese design takes some getting accustomed to and comfort will be subjective. Unfortunately, I am struggling to find these as comfortable as others I own, because elastic side panels. The bottom of the panel hits and rubs on my ankle bone. I am searching for a solution to make wearing long term a possibility. Maybe sizing up would resolve and create a less slim fit. These run 100% true to size. I’m impressed with how nice these are, and they fit comfortably too. I have worn them around my house only, because I need to order some tabi socks. I’ve been trying them out at home without socks, and they are surprisingly comfortable- the inside is smooth and comfy even without socks. I did need to add a small arch support insert, but I do that with the majority of my shoes/boots. The patent leather is very nice and supple feeling. The elastic gore also adds to the comfort. The low heel is great as well. They are easy to put on and take off. I’ve always wanted a pair of split toe boots and these do not disappoint. I think the price is amazing for the quality. The split toe design will take a bit of time to get used to, and wearing these with regular socks is not ideal. Wearing these with split toe socks will make them much more comfortable.
