I got the six-pack of Scrub Daddies with the holder because I'd heard great things about them, and they are indeed very good... but the holder just wasn't cutting it for me. The dual suction cups only lasted a few days before inevitably falling, usually in the middle of the night, often onto a bowl with a spoon, or rather onto the handle of the spoon sticking out. Very loud in the middle of the night, that. I attributed it to the material above my sink - varnished a wooden cabinet. I got this holder mainly because the single suction cup lent itself better to mounting on an adhesive pad stuck to the cabinet. However, just for fun I stuck it straight on just to see how long it would stay up there. That was almost 2 months ago, and it's still on.. Just applied a bit of water to the cup, slapped it on, and stuck the sponge on, and bam. Couldn't be simpler, and no more clattering just as I'm drifting off to sleep! Read more
This sponge holder is the right size for the daddy sponge but I don't know if I can call it functional. It's made of regular plastic with a suction cup that doesn't have the strength to say up when loaded with a sponge. It is easy to mount and will stay up when empty. When loaded with a dry sponge it will fall within a few minutes. What good is a sponge holder that doesn't function for its purpose. I can say that the plastic is sturdy and it hasn't broken even when dropped (and it has dropped a lot) Not a good value. Read more
The suction cups on this holder work really good. It stays firmly on the side of my stainless steel sink with no slipping or falling even when it gets wet. It fits my Scrub Mommy and Scrub Daddy sponges (I end up swapping back and forth depending on which one is on sale) and keeps them off the countertop where they can drip. The plastic feels sturdy enough and so far it has held up well with regular use. Makes things a little more organized in my sink area. Read more
I have used this sponge holder for a few months now every single day and I have not had it fall off of the wall yet. I love it so much, it is absolutely perfect to keep my counters clean. Super cute and bright but I can’t seem to get my sponge to stay on. The suction part seems to hold well to the sink as long as you pre clean and prep well. The holder part is what I have issues with. My sponge slides right off the holder, and no matter what I do it falls off shortly after I hang it. I even tried a brand new sponge thinking it was a defect in my used sponge, but it does the same thing. The only way I can use this is to put it on the edge of the sink so it is laying flat. These are useful for storing your scrub daddy/mommy sponges up so they are out of the way. I have mine on my compose bin that sits at the corner of my sink to keep it out of the sink when I need to fill it. The suction cup holders fit securely and the sponges slide on and off easily. Colors don’t matter much for me as they sponge hides the holder. There are 2 in the pack for a spare or if you have 2 sinks where you use one of the scrub daddy/mommy sponges. I absolutely love these! They’re so cute and really brighten up my kitchen sink with their fun colors. The suction cups hold incredibly well and they haven’t slipped or lost grip once since I put them, even with constant use and water splashing around. They’re the perfect size too, just compact enough not to clutter the sink area and the right size to hold the Scubb Daddy. I’ve even used one in the laundry room. The material feels durable and high quality, so I’m sure they’ll last a long time. Overall, I think these are a great buy for the price. The concept is great and it would be a great item except for one thing. It keeps sliding off my rib! No matter how clean I get the surface it’s slides down into the bathtub which is what I was trying to avoid. I don’t want my cleaning sponge in my bath water. It’s the perfect size for scrub daddy or scrub mommy, but the fact that the suction cup slides makes it hard to use. Does not function as advertised. I also only received one. Read more
