Sputnik Chandelier 6-Light Ceiling Light Dining Room Light Fixture with E26 Bulbs Ceiling Light Fixture Angle Adjustable Kitchen

Replaced an old-fashioned, country style chandelier in our dining room with this modern style ceiling light. It's very bright with six, 60-watt dimmable LED Edison bulbs. Almost too bright, we're glad it's on a dimmer switch. The light fixture was easy to assemble, and its quality met my expectations. It came with 2 large wire nuts and 3 small ones. Use one of the large ones to hold the 6 white wires and the white lead-wire together - I "wire-nutted" the 6 white wires and the white lead-wire and then used a small zip-tie just below the wire nut to help ensure they won't work loose from handling the wires during the final installation onto the ceiling. I then did the same for the 6 black wires and the black lead-wire. Use the smaller wire nuts for the final power connections between the light fixture's lead-wires and corresponding house wires. This went up in my daughters room and she loves it. All but one part of the assembly was easy. The fixture comes with each of the three arms needing to br threaded together and attached to the base. I would recommend going from the shortest to the longest as you'll be able to spin the rod rather than need to use the tiny included wrench to tighten them one sixth of a turn at a time, but I didn't think of that in time and still managed to do fine. The hard part was taking the wires from all six of the bulbs and the pigtail to the house wiring together. They're all stranded wires and the included red wire nuts made a mess of the ends real fast. I used a crimp connection but it was really difficult to align all seven wires on the second side after the first side was putting tension on them. Some zip ties helped to hold everything together to make the final connection. If they crimped the two from each lead together so I was only trying to join 4 wires it would have been all the difference. That's my only gripe with the light. After that it was straightforward to hang on the ceiling and It looks cool. G25 bulbs would look good but I went with some Edison LED filament bulbs and it's ready for the space race. Read more

Our kitchen originally had a three-light small fixture right at the ceiling, and lighting was woefully inadequate for cooking. No matter where you stood, it was dim and you were casting your own shadow over whatever you were trying to prepare. Well, no more! This is a fantastic contemporary / modern fixture. It's just weird enough to be fun and to draw conversation -- our kids love it! For us, though it's mostly functional. Combined with some large LED bulbs, this thing really throws out some light. with the lights down from the ceiling just a little bit, it gives you not only direct light but also allows for reflected light off of the ceiling. That improves the overall brightness of our kitchen, and the way the fixture places the bulbs really helps cut down on shadows, making it a much more functional improvement as well as cosmetic. Pics are attached. Installation was easy if you have basic DIY skills -- you don't really even need a tool beyond a basic screwdriver or two. (Be sure to throw the breaker before working on anything electrical -- shocks are no fun.) I was able to remove the old light fixture and install this one in less than twenty minutes. My wife is happy, my kitchen is bright. This is a huge win -- it gets my highest recommendation! Read more

I purchased this about a year ago for my sewing room. I decided to give it another try! My son set these up by our front door. And in seeing them lit up he complained that they are too bright! Ha! Precisely why I LOVE them! Now my front room looks so bright and wonderful! I love to paint and to see colors in full light, so these are wonderful! I took some video, but I've misplaced it. I'll try to come back with that! If you don't like a bright light, then this is not the light fixture for you! These are very bright (in part depending on the bulb, of course.) I love it in my sewing/art room. It shines light in every corner of my previous dark and foreboding basement sewing room. Now it feels like daylight.. even at 3 am! P.S.
