I have been using this camera for a couple of months now, I wanted to really give it a try before writing this review. First, this was one of the easiest cams to set up. Download the app, get registered, turn on the cam, follow the guide to connect with Bluetooth and then to your WIFI. It does a test to see if it'll work in the area you want, and DONE. After that, just keep it charged, and open the app whenever you want to view live or watch recorded events. Picture quality is great, nice and clear, even in night vision. Connection is super fast, loads up a live view right away. Sound quality is also great, just need to turn down the sound on my phone sometimes because it records the smallest sounds and projects them pretty loud. This cam comes with a mini-SD card slot for extra recording space. This cam can also be used on your person, as it's small enough to carry in your pocket. Battery life is decent, I charge every few days. Great value for the money. Read more
This ZENOVIRA Spy Cam is a versatile and discreet security solution. Its compact size and magnetic, rotatable base allow for flexible placement anywhere, whether it's flat on a surface, mounted on a wall, or even hanging, notes the product description. Connecting to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi provides real-time remote monitoring, which is incredibly convenient for checking on pets, babies, or home security while away. The night vision capability is a standout feature, providing clear images even in complete darkness. This ensures 24/7 security coverage. The AI-based motion detection works well, sending instant alerts to a phone when movement is detected, and customizable zones help reduce false alarms. The 140° wide-angle lens offers broad coverage, suitable for various spaces. The built-in 1600 mAh battery provides a decent 3.5 to 4.5 hours of wireless operation. Storage options are flexible, supporting MicroSD cards up to 256GB and optional cloud storage, so there's no mandatory subscription. The AI monitoring features, including identification of pets, children, and delivery personnel, are also valuable. Considering the features packed into this mini camera , it represents excellent value for money Read more
This spy cam claims it can function without a wifi. I've tried connecting to the built-in wireless connection and have never succeeded. This spy cam claims it can function with a 2.5G wifi. It refused to connect half the time, making setup a load of frustration. The included "User Guide" only lists steps for setting the cam up with the associated HIDVCAM app, very little explanation of the various functions and capability. Once things do actually get set up... the app required to make this cam working just continues to frustrate me. What is the point of enabling Alarm/Notification, if it doesn't actually alert and notify my phone? All it does is list events within the app for me to dig into at a later time. I get that there's limits to the functionality without a paid service, like having only thumbnails of an event rather than video clips, but the bare minimum really should be to let me know directly when an event happens. With this refusal to alert, I might as well leave a SD card in it for me to look at later time. Thankfully live view is not locked behind paid service. Battery lasted rather surprisingly long for how small it is, though the cam itself got really hot. Night vision is ok, not really good for motion though. Video quality ... honestly doesn't look that sharp enough to be a 4K, but at the same time, being limited to mobile app it doesn't matter that much. All that said, maybe I'm expecting too much for the price. But at a certain point, I'd be more willing to pay more for better functionality rather than being cheap and having lousy experience with the product. Read more
I can't tell you if the camera works or not because in order to use it you have to download an app. The QR code in the instructions leads you to an app download page that's entirely in Chinese with nothing but one-star reviews. No way I'm downloading this to my phone. Read more
Frequently the problem I have with shopping online is that products are intentionally made to look bigger than they really are. Often it’s a woman’s or even a child’s hand holding the product, making it look as large as possible. Here, however, I had the opposite problem. I needed a very tiny camera to fit into a small space (for scientific, not surveillance, purposes!). Ironically, this camera is MUCH larger than suggested by the handheld photo — almost twice the suggested size if you compare the photos. Also, my hands are large, which should make the camera seem even smaller in the photo by comparison — but it’s not. The sizes ARE provided in the very last product photo, but if you’re basing your purchase on the handheld photo the “mini-ness” of the camera is grossly exaggerated. I actually was not able to use this camera where I wanted to, when it should have fit easily based on the product photo. Functionally, setup and use are a bit cumbersome, although I’ll confess I was expecting simpler setup for such a small camera while this actually functions like a full-sized security cam. You need to download an app and register an account (email, password, and security code sent to email). I will say that once registration was completed, connection to the camera went smoothly (thought it took a moment to initialize the camera). Once live, the camera controls are not intuitive, making it hard to simply record and review a simple video. Of course, the app will try to sell you their cloud service for video storage. While the product size (shown in the very last product photo) is not inaccurate, the very first product photo is not accurate and I was not able to fit this camera in the space I had intended. I simply don’t have much to recommend here, and you should look for a better rated (and more accurately depicted) product elsewhere. Read more
