I hate opening products that come in the plastic blister pack because they are difficult to open. The hawksbill blade shape works great - once the point goes into the plastic it will cut easily without slipping out. The shape also works great opening boxes. I've had a dive knife with the H1 steel for over 15 years and never a spot of rust, so I know the steel on this knife will last. Very happy with this knife. Read more
This is the best knife purchase I have ever made. I work on a beach in Florida and am constantly in and out of the water. I always have it with me whether it is on my life jacket or in my shorts. Salt water has ruined so many knives I’ve bought in the past and I was worried that even this knife would succumb to it. After over a month of constant use there is not one single rust spot on this knife. NOT ONE. It has kept its serrated edge and it still as durable as when I first got it. Anyone dealing with salt water that is looking for a great knife this is the one for you. If you don’t like the look of this one specifically then you can go with any of their other Salt Series. Spyderco has definitely lived up to its reputation. Read more
While I haven’t had a chance to put it through it’s full paces it has done very well so far. The hawksbill shape of the blade does mean that it will take up a little more space in the pocket but it’s slim profile keeps it from being too noticeable. The blade is extremely sharp right out of the box as is normal for Spyderco and is well balanced in the hand. Read more

I had an older version of this knife that I unfortunately forgot to leave at home when I went to the airport to board a commercial flight...now, I'm sure some TSA person has it. It was my daily carry knife that was always in my pocket, and I was surprised at how much I missed it once I lost it. So now I'm on my third one, and I have to say, after several years and lots of other knives, this is still my personal favorite for all-around, daily use. It seems to hold an edge quite well, fits comfortably in my hand and in general, has no trouble tackling whatever I need it to. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a good, not-too-expensive knife for general use. Read more
I spend a lot of time on horseback and doing things around our small barn. This is a great knife to carry. It's helped cut tack to get a horse out of trouble and everyday things like cutting string on hay bales. I'm never without it. Read more
