This is an excellent idea to train your turtle.to come to one spot. It keeps floating food contained to one area. Unfortunately not recommended for large turtles. Unless trained from young age, an adult turtle can easily pull the frame right off its little hinge. Read more
Pretty small and lightweight. My turtle manages to move it so that the food escapes the confines of the ring and gets drawn to the filter just the same. Was worth a try but didn't work as I had hoped. Edit:- Also, after a couple of weeks, the styrofoam that helps the ring float has become loose and I've had to remove the whole thing so that my turtle doesn't eat it. I have removed my original rating to reflect the poor quality of this item. Also:- the plastic ball toys come apart so that whatever it is inside is loose and the plastic balls are in two pieces. My turtle and I love the feeding square, it does a great job keeping her floating pellets from going all over her tank and getting caught up in her filter before she finishes. The suction stays on well, so far she hasn't knocked it off, and we've had it for atleast a month and a half! Read more
