You get a lot of things in the box including a water wand with an thumb activated switch you press to start the flow of water and another swinging lever on the front of the wand to change the spray modes. No more having to let go of your dog to turn the water off! That's a game changer. The wand has grooming fingers to get the soap and water deep into your pet's fur and these fingers are flexible so they are quite gentle too. You also get a solid metal diverter valve to let you attach the dog wand to your standard shower piping. So you can alternate from the 'people' showerhead to the pet shower wand with ease. The diverter plumbing fixture has very smooth action. You get a really nice flexible metal hose with plenty of length to reach your puppers. There are adapters for indoor vs outdoor plumbing threads which is super helpful since I also have warm water plumbed outside in my backyard. This device is an excellent upgrade to my home pet bathing experience where I often feel like I end up wetter than my dog. At first we were a little disappointed with the connection options because we don't wash our dog outside and all of our showers already have a handheld component (which is how we've been washing our mini Aussie). I decided to unhook the handheld part from one of our showers just to see how well this thing functions and I was immediately blown away! First of all, the hose is longer than the existing hose, so that makes it an instant winner. The variety of spray options is also great, and I was almost literally blown away when I hit the button and the water blasted out of the end of the attachment. This will be perfect for the really long hair on the back of her legs because it gets sooooo soapy and takes forever to rinse with the regular shower attachment. Given the quality of the components (even the plastic thread protectors were nicer than some actual plumbing fittings I've purchased) and the parts included for inside/outdoor installation, this is a tremendous value.
