My family has been using this style of lunchbox for over a year now. Before this, they were all two pieces, which have been great for keeping items separate, but the wear on the bottom pieces looks bad. They are sometimes impossible to clean, especially if they were "forgotten" over the weekend. The removable stainless tray has eliminated that problem. This version has all the benefits of the all-plastic version but is 100% easier to clean. Everything still stays separated and fresh without losing a noticeable amount of space. You still have the space to pack a good-sized lunch for your kids. The lid and attachment hardware are also improved over the all-plastic and seem to be better in this version. This isn't really an insulated box, so you're still going to need a cold pack to keep your food chilly. If you're on the fence about which lunchbox to get, this is the one you want. Read more
I love that the food in this lunch box is held in a stainless steel container instead of plastic. It's easy to clean - by hand or in the dishwasher. The seals are great - nothing leaks between the compartments or out of the box! And the seals can be removed for better cleaning. It's an interesting size - great for a younger kid's lunch or to holds snacks for an older kid. I do wish I could fit a cold pack into the bottom so that it could be a stand-alone unit. The quality of this product is impressive. It is durable and well-made, but still light enough and easy to transport. I have been swapping out my plastic products so I am excited to switch my current bentos for stainless steal. The price is a bit high, but all bento boxes are across the board in my opinion.
