I made my own fishing gaff out of a oak garden tool handle with some armsteel rope and epoxy! Had all the materials needed so cost was just the hook and time. Came out pretty good and should pull up the big catch without a problem! Nice stainless too... Read more
Seems to do the job
The stainless steel seems to be ok… not much magnetic properties… shouldn’t rust at all, I’m hoping.. I attached it to some 1 1/4” dowel with some line… plenty of examples on YouTube. Much cheaper than buying the whole gaff and I’m sure it’s better quality. Read more
