I made Tacos for lunch at - 8 °c. The meat was hot 6 hours after I filled the containers. They worked amazingly well. When we returned from the mountain the pressure changed and it was absolutely seal, I couldn't open the container normally. The container has a button on the lid to take out the seal. Intended for prolonged cooking but will only hold ‘cooking temperature for 4hrs, or less. Actually works well for hot tea tho’ a ladle is required so for soups and stews or rice it will be ideal. Barely ~~~ three quarts. I bet that is the exterior volume, or the interior w/o lid… I think I could trust this lid for containment even if overturned. DROPPING WOULD BE BAD Strongly advise that this is *closed & sealed* ATTENTIVELY. Know and understand the workings of the pressure/vacuum release button. I suspect — and I will contrive — an inset aerogel ‘cosy’ for placing on the lid will vastly improve performance ( I have finagled such mods on all my thermos-type bottles [4] and It significantly helps a lid-stopper on any brand — if you are good with your hands. Awesomely made and seals tight with no leakage. With that in mind you'd think food stays hotter than 4 hours. At the 6 hour mark my food was just warm. If you ok with warm it works great. Read more
