After a ton of research, I purchased my first Stanley Growler about a year ago (Sept 2018). After the very first use, I immediately threw away all of my old glass growlers. After only a few weeks (we usually get growler fills at least twice a week), I purchased an additional Stanley Growler and a 32oz Howler kicker to keep the party going just a little longer. I’m probably going to purchase a few more as back-ups (just in case they are discontinued). I love everything about these growlers. They are super easy to clean. Usually I just rinse them out with hot when they are empty, leave the cap off overnight to dry, and they are ready to go. Sometimes, I don’t even manage that, and they just rinse at the tap house. I have hit them with a bottle brush and dishwashing liquid a few times, just to get them nice and shiny again on the inside. I have never had any issues with the growler altering the taste of the beer. They are incredibly durable…..The overbuilt 4X4 of growlers. We have taken them everywhere (picnics, camping, kayaking, ice fishing), have abused them, and they still look and preform like new. If you want to enjoy draft beer off the grid, get this growler. They permanently ride in the back of my SUV when not in use as you never know when you will run into some interesting beer. Pro tip: a milk crate and a piece of bungee cord as a divider makes for a great growler caddie. They keep beer fresh and tolerably cold for at least 48hrs (longest I’ve been able to keep beer). Pro tip: If I know that I will be storing beer for over a few hours, I will “condition” them (fill with ice water a few hours prior to filling with beer). The handle is really sturdy for both transport and pouring. The cap is secure and easy to open/close even while buzzed with gloves on and ice fishing. They look great, and are a conversation starter. Final Pro tip: Keep an eye on your growler. I don’t trust anyone at the bar around my growlers….including my friends (okay especially my friends). Just to seem partial I had to come-up with a negative, and I’m really nitpicking here. After a hot 8hour road trip along some back county roads I had a small amount of seepage from one of the growlers. It has never happened again, and I attribute it to the pressure created by the bumpy ride and I had the growler unsecured on its side (I usually try to transport them standing upright). But, the beer inside was still carbonated, fresh, cold, and delicious. If you are researching growlers for rough duty, your search is over, get the Stanley! I have had one of these 64 oz. growlers for a year and just ordered my second. I live in Florida and am an avid camper. I always bring this growler along to keep drinking water cold. I also ride my bike for transportation almost daily. In the summer time, having tons of ice cold water is a must. I've tried Igloo 1 gallon jugs which leak if not up right in my bag and single walled jugs only to have them sweat all over the things. This growler is leak-proof, sweat-proof, and indestructible in my experience. It's also great for car camping since it doesn't have to stay upright in the car to prevent leaks. While on a month long camping trip in the deserts of the southwest, this growler was a life saver since I could fill it up with ice and have cold water all day. I also dropped it multiple times on hard surfaces and while it's a little dented and now has more character, it's totally held up functionally and the paint is still in mint condition. The handle seems like a huge bonus to me. It makes pouring or drinking from a full growler much easier. I also keep a reusable plastic straw in there to make drinking a little easier for me and my kiddo. With the handle, she can easily hold it herself whereas if it were a growler with no handle, I can't imagine it would be that easy for her to use. After much use, I did notice slight stress lines like others have mentioned. But this has not effected the functionality for me at all. With how much I use my growler and how hard it was to find something that has been leak, sweat-proof and under $35, I don't mind it. So much so I bought another one! Read more

This thing is a straight beast. Vacuum seal makes it great for both cold and hot beverages. I filled this guy up with coffee early on a Saturday AM for tailgating, which we used throughout the day. At the end of the game, we hastily packed up everything and there was extra space in the cooler, so somebody put the growler in there. It stayed in my cooler, in my car parked outside all night (in sub 30 degree Fahrenheit cold) and for half of the next day. I finally got home Sunday afternoon and put this guy on my kitchen counter intending to clean it out, but never got to it. On Monday morning I realized that we were out of Coffee but remembered there was some left over in the Stanley. I figured I would get a cup and microwave the cold coffee. To my surprise the coffee was still warm and just barely drinkable. I like my coffee pretty hot, so I still zapped it in the microwave, but I was amazed the coffee wasn't ice cold. This was +48hrs after I filled it, left it outside in my car in a cooler, in sub 30 degree temps. I didn't even mention beer though...The real reason I got this is because I love me some IPA's and typically get a growler. The great thing about this is the sound the vacuum seal makes when I'm opening the growler on day 3 to have the last of the beer. This keeps the beer from getting flat and it tastes just like it did on day 1. For those of you who use the usual amber colored glass growlers, you know what I mean about day 3 beer being flat.
