I love this utensil set from Stanley!!! It’s perfect for our needs!!! We’ve purchased three different sets (pot, pan, and cup) from the Stanley camping cookware series and absolutely adore them. The stainless steel feels well made and high quality. The only issue was that the utensils, plates, and bowls that come with those sets, while very compact, are all plastic and not very durable when it comes to scratches. We’ve already replaced the bowls and plates with wooden ones. But when it comes to utensils, we are beyond thrilled that Stanley released this compact set!! They come with a lock-in feature that’s well designed and discreetly hidden. It’s the silver part on the side of the handle. You can lock the utensil in place when extending it, and to release it, just gently push the silver part down a tiny bit. It didn’t come with instructions, so it took me a minute to figure that out. Very clever design, but including a short instruction on the box would be nice. This is perfect for solo camping or a two-person, non-backpacking trip. We want something light and compact. Not as minimal as backpacking gear, but lighter than bringing out full-size utensils and cast iron. This Stanley series has been perfect for that, and these utensils are truly the cherry on top. Nice addition to your camp kitchen when space is a premium. Like the idea of using them in the folded state or the option of being extended. The reason for the 4-stars is because the handles feel on the cheap side: no heft to the feel. Time will tell if they last during use. Read more
These utensils for cooking while camping were amazing. The folding feature is excellent. The utensils that come with the Stanley camping pots/pans were plastic. These are metal. Read more
Compact and good quality. Once open it locks just like a folding knife, make it more secure. Read more
This review is for the Stanley Wildfare Pro Fold & Go 2-Piece Utensil Set (Model: 10-12152-002, Color: Pale Pebble), which includes a serving spoon and spatula. The key feature is that both utensils can be folded to save space and are very sturdy when deployed. They utilize a liner lock mechanism that's commonly found in folding knives, and the result is a utensil that's secure and intuitive to use. Overall, these are probably the best folding utensils I've used, and I like how they feel substantial. While they work well enough for my purposes, the grill spatula could be longer. With the folding design, an additional inch of length would give us two more inches to work with! Notes: 1) The metal parts are brushed 18/8 stainless steel, and the handles are BPA-free. Read more
East to keep in camping gear. The spoon doesn’t want to stay closed though. Might need to tighten the screw for it. But other than that love them. Read more
I bought the Stanley full cookset with a pot, pan. 4 bowls and 4 plates. This cookset came with plastic utensils which work but with much to be desired. I bought these stainless steel utensils as an upgrade, thinking they'd fit inside the cookset when folded. They don't. In fact, they don't fold very small. They do work well though. However, I wish that the utensils would click into place when folded like they do when unfolded. They don't, though. When folded they easily fall out of the handle, because there's no way to fix them. Read more
