Customers find the sleeping bag decently warm, well-built, and comfortable, with cotton lining that helps prevent clamminess.

Great bag

CullachJanuary 2, 2026✓ Verified purchase

Bought this for a NM hunting trip. Base camp was at 9600ft. Nights were 15-20 degrees. This bag is warm! It's plenty big enough for me at 6'1". The zipper is easy to use and didn't get caught in the lining like most of these do. Durability? It's canvas so yeah. Read more

Warm and Well Made

This is a large sleeping bag, I am 5-11 and had plenty of room. It stays flat and does not slip or twist during sleep. The heavy-duty zipper does not snag. I wore a flannel shirt, cotton sweat pants, and socks and was perfectly comfortable at 30 F sleeping in an unheated van in the National Forest. Beware there is no standard for determining the temperature rating of a sleeping bag. Each manufacturer gets to decide their rating. Read more

So comfortable

AlexiaJuly 6, 2019✓ Verified purchase

This is the best sleeping bag. It’s so incredibly thick and warm. The canvas exterior is very high quality, and the interior flannel is very soft to the touch. It’s really big and very heavy but if you don’t have an issue with that then this is perfect. Read more

Tough & Comfortable

Kept me nice and warm in my rig for 2 winters now🚛 Many of those nights being below freezing. When its 20°F or below, you will want some cabin socks, because the cold air radiates through the Zipper at the bottom of the bag Read more

10 pounds and 13 ounces of luxurious happiness.

Heavy old school sleeping bag. 100% cotton lining and cover, 100% Polyester filling. Zip up carrying case included with external straps sewn onto the case, the sleeping bag also has two sewn in nylon straps to tie it down when rolled up. Once the bag is allowed to come up to full loft, getting it rolled up and tied down with the supplied straps is about impossible. Getting it back into the case is also about impossible. I use a 36" sleeping bag storage sack and roll it up and store it in that. The 36" black storage bag in the photos was from REI. This is my spring and fall cool weather bag and I keep it set up in the back of my SUV. (For winter I use a goose down bag). Unzipped with no base layers I can tolerate it as high as 65 degrees and will use it down to about 38 to 40 degrees. The zero degree Fahrenheit rating is ridiculous. The large size and absence of draft tubes and a full draft collar make this more of a warmer weather bag. There is a drawstring at the top to help with drafts. The bag is large and heavy. When inside I find the weight comforting and love laying in it. The internal flannel lining stops me from sliding around and the external canvas helps keep the bag from moving. The cotton also helps stop the bag from feeling clammy. The flannel lining routinely gets caught in the zipper. There are no built in guards on the zipper and the flannel is a bit oversized. When it catches its gentle and I can very easily back the zipper up and restart. Never had an official snag just these soft muted jams. If the flannel shrinks after washing that would be helpful. This is my second sample. The first one had issues in the foot area where the lining had been sewn to the zipper and an incomplete hem. I like the sleeping bag a lot. It's an excellent value. It's fairly well made and packed with quite a bit of insulation. Unfolded on my bed it completely covers a queen sized mattress. Think of it as a really really heavy blanket with a zipper. Washing might be a challenge. I'll report back on how that works out. WASHING UPDATE: Washed it in a large commercial washer with warm water. Dried in an equally large dryer. Came out looking great. No issues at all. Still looks new. Read more

Difficult to stow

BaneDecember 9, 2025✓ Verified purchase

It’s very thick and warm. Plenty of room for me, but I’m not a big guy. The zipper sticks a bit sometimes but it doesn’t get caught in the material. The storage bag isn’t big enough and the cinching straps on the sleeping bag tear off when you put any effort into them and now I have to sew up the holes that were left by them. Read more
