The Staples GaN Wall Charger is a 65W fast charging adapter with both USB-C and USB-A ports. The charger comes with a USB-C to USB-C charging cable that is 6.5 feet long. The cable is very thick and made of braided material that feels like fabric, similar to the charger that came with my iPhone but with a heftier diameter and much longer length. I have used this charger primarily with my iPad and iPhone, using the USB-C port. The charger delivers fast charging, though I am not sure I noticed a significant difference in charging speed for my devices. My iPhone 16 Pro Max already charges quickly, and my 2019 iPad may be limited in the speed it can charge. When charging multiple devices at once using both ports, the charging did not slow down. The charger is compact in design with foldable prongs that fold in when not in use, making it ideal for travel. It does not block adjacent outlets. The charger is larger than a single port charger, but the compact design and folding prongs make it easy to pack and transport. The charger is very well made and does not feel cheap. It is white with a substantial weight. The construction quality is excellent with top notch tech from a trusted brand. The charger gets warm during use, which is normal for its size. I do not have safety concerns, but I did not feel comfortable having it next to our bed because of the warmth. I relocated it to serve as a family charger for use as needed or for anyone traveling. The only drawback for my original intended use was that the charger and cable were a bit much for the space I had in mind next to my bed. The thickness and 6.5 foot length of the cable were not discreet. However, this does not take away from the fact that this is a great charger that does a lot and is perfect for travel with its compact, foldable design. Priced well, this is a good value for a 65W GaN charger with an included high-quality cable. Read more

This review is for the Staples TECH 65W USB-A/USB-C Wall Charger with Cable. If your home is like mine, chargers have a habit of walking away and disappearing forever, especially the good ones. This is why I really needed to try out the Staples 65w wall charger. I will say, first of all, that this would make a great travel charger, as it comes with fold out outlet prongs, which makes it a lot easier to safely store in your luggage. This wall charger comes with two USB-C ports that support up to 65W, and one USB-A port that support up to 30W. Above the Type C ports it reads "PD", which means "Power Delivery." As another reviewer pointed out, this means that you can use this to fast-charge your phones and tablets and power a laptop because the charger "lets devices negotiate higher, dynamic power levels for quicker, safer, and more efficient charging of everything from phones and tablets to laptops." I haven't seen a lot of other chargers that can do this within the same price range of the Staples charger. The Staples wall charger comes with a USB-C cable that is capable of handling Power Delivery. This cable is braided and seems to be well-made and tough. I've used it so far to charge my phones and tablets, but haven't tried it to power a laptop yet. As for charging my phones and tablet, it performed perfectly and charged everything fast. This wall charger appears to be constructed well and is high-quality. I used several other less expensive wall chargers and they took longer to charge my phones and didn't last very long either. This charger is much more efficient, and hopefully will last. The only thing is I will have to watch it like a hawk to make sure someone else in the house doesn't run away with it. Read more

This is a 65 Watt charger, having one USB-A port and two USB-C ports. The ports are labelled "PD" (Power Delivery) which I had to look up. I found this definition: "The legend "PD" on a USB charger or port indicates Power Delivery. This signifies that the USB connection is capable of more advanced power management than standard USB charging, allowing for higher power transfer, bidirectional power flow, and intelligent negotiation of voltage and current between connected devices." This essentially means you can use this charger to power your laptop, and any USB devices connected to the laptop at the same time. I recently obtained two high-capacity (30,000 mAh) power banks, and observed very long charge times for them using a conventional charger. This higher capacity charger charges both of them - at the same time - in less overall time. It only gets slightly warm so it is well within its capacity. I especially like the folding prongs on the charger, similar to many Apple products. I can fold the prongs in and carry the charger in my pocket easily. It comes with one USB-C to USB-C cable which is plenty long enough (6.5 feet). I have to use a second cable if I want to charge both power banks simultaneously, but most of the time I am only charging one at a time. The supplied cable has a braided surface and the connectors mate with a positive click. The molded connectors also incorporate a strain relief section to keep the cable from bending at the connector. This is a professional level charger and I recommend it especially if you are charging devices with larger batteries. You will experience faster charge times. Read more
