This is a good multi-port hub, although the outer casing appears to be made of very lightweight plastic. It’s a bit confusing to call this a “4-Port USB-C Hub” when the “4 Ports” are in fact type USB-A. The *cable* that attaches this to your computer does have a USB-C plug on the end of it. So that’s where the USB-C aspect of this figures in. (I thought I’d mention this just in case anybody else was confused by the title and description on the item’s product page.) Performance is good; transfer speeds are good; no external power required. The ports are nicely spaced to allow pretty much anything, even something with a slightly larger plug/connector, to fit right in. This is truly a plug and play device, which was instantly recognized by my computer (MacBook Air). Great for travel and a very good value! Read more

Good cheap USB hub for Mac mini

Using this with a mac mini that has no USB-A ports, only USB-C! So this is a affordable solution to add USB-A ports. I would say it's great for travelling, in fact I think it's meant for that. For desktop use I would've preferred to see individual on / off buttons that some other hubs have. It also has a short cable. I'm using it on my desk with no issues and It tucks away behind my mac mini no problem. Read more
