Sturdy stand for Dutch oven.
The stand itself is sturdy and easy to put together with thumb screws. We have a small outdoor brick firepit that we sometimes cook over. This stand will help us cook with our Dutch oven in the firepit. The Dutch oven did, however, have a slight wobble in it even though it was placed on a flat surface. I took off a star because of the slight wobble. The slight wobble is not enough to cause the Dutch oven to fall off the stand or to interfere with cooking. I am happy with this product. Read more

Works!!! Not light but utterly reliable.
Our favorite family campground suffers from . . . occasional hooliganism and EVERY firepit has a wonky, bashed, or bent-up fire grill intended to rotate in and out of the fire -- as when you are building the fire from a cold or damp situation. I found that it was brilliant when used on a 'veteran of decades' fire pit with years of ash... Leveling was accomplished by tapping with a small stone. I used it with 4qt dutch ovens and cast iron skillets. Usually, though, it supported the 6qt. enamel pot used to heat or pre-heat water for general uses like coffee, but more often for cleaning. We haven’t actually used it in a fire yet but our large, heavy Dutch oven fits perfectly. We are sure it will help keep it steady, thereby cooking more evenly, the next time we use it on an open, wood fire. Read more
