This is beautiful, easy to play, well marked and has a pleasant tone. Kids like it too. The "bumpers" on the side and bottom of the drum make it easy to sound as well as keeping it from marking or hurting anything. It comes with three different strikers which are easy to handle for all sizes of humans. It has a clear metallic sound. And is far more affordable than a hand drum. I spent a lot of time listening to tongue drums before I gambled on buying this one, based on the many reviews that remarked on the lovely tones of each note. The reviewers, if anything, understated how clear and well tuned the notes on this drum are. I am flabbergasted, and a happy drummer. Because it's so small, it may not be easy to play with just fingers. But nails work, and the mallets are perfect, if you just bounce them lightly onto the tongues. Took this on a trip to the mountains and stayed near a river. It was nice to sit on the deck, watching the water go by and play this drum. Random sounds, running water, and great scenery. This made the trip memorable. Read more

I ordered one of these a few years ago (different brand) but misplaced it. I am really glad I chose this one to replace it. It comes with 3 different sized mallets (plus 3 finger ones) and a carrying pouch, all very neatly packed. The sound is really impressive. The tones are clear and clean. It's super easy to play, especially since it comes with a little booklet that teaches you songs. I think this would be a great gift for adults and children. I bought the first one for a child, but bought this one for myself! I got this on sale, but even at its full price, it's a good value. It sounds more expensive than it is. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Wow! I am really impressed with this. I bought it for my Son thinking it would hold his attention. Little did I know that I would be creating symphonies for my whole family with it lol. It is a nice little drum and sounds amazing. Plus it’s fun to come up with songs. It’s great that it’s small enough to take anywhere, and you can really see what great quality it is, the material and design of the drum itself is beautiful. I try to play it a few times a week when the family and I are relaxing at the end of the day. I wish it would’ve come with a book like other ones on the market. This little drum is absolutely beautiful, sounds so whimsical it's great for kids or adults. It's very simple to play and even comes with a small booklet of a handful songs to learn! It also obviously comes with two drum sticks and a couple finger tappers if you don't wanna use the sticks, and it's also great to travel with as it comes with a sturdy little bag to keep it in.
