I have seen tongue drum kits online for a long time and wanted to get one for myself. I finally did and I am SOOOO glad that I finally purchased one. Absolutely beautiful sound quality. It is light weight and very calming. The design of the drum is beautiful and this drum is definitely worth the money. This set came with a carrying bag with strap, 2 mallets, 5 finger picks, a song book, and additional numbers. I may purchase a larger one to put outside on rainy days. Read more

My almost 3 year old loves this drum! It sounds good, very soothing. It is very durable, I know this first hand bc my son accidentally dropped it down the stairs! Didn't break (phew). This drum sounds amazing, it makes really beautiful music. The sound is very ethereal and bright. The reverberation is really long and beautiful. It’s also very beautiful to look at, I absolutely love it in the purple color. The case is good, it’s nice and protective, and I love that it has a separate case for the drumsticks as well. Not to mention the carrying strap so you can put it over your shoulder! There’s a plug on the bottom side of the drum that you can remove that makes it louder, but supposedly removes some of the reverberation (I might have that backwards, misplaced the instructions that tell that 😅). I have some trouble with my ears so I can’t tell the difference very well. The biggest con for this one for me is that the high 1 (I think this is a C scale, so that would be the high C?), Does not ring very well, compared to the others at least. The other notes have strong rich tone and reverberation, but that one’s short and very quiet and can be difficult to hit in a way that it rings well in the first place. I actually hear more vibration from the main body when hitting that note than I do from that tongue itself. It’s a great way to start with the instrument and see if you really like it before investing in a big one, but I find having only eight notes very limiting personally, so I do plan on upgrading to one that has many more notes and I can play more songs on it. Overall, I really love this drum and I am definitely going to be using it for many years to come, I really think this thing could take a beating and still play because it really does seem to be well-made and sturdy. This is a quality product. I purchased one for my granddaughter and was impressed by not only the instrument but by the quality of it and the accessories it came with. Interestingly, I did not know when I purchased it that her school music teacher had one similar that they use with the children.
