Nice set of wire key rings.
I love these for my keys lately, since my family keeps swapping out keys. My husband started a fencing business, my son is driving his own car now, and then one of our daily use vehicles has broken down the instant we get the next fixed. So, besides the work truck just.....trucking along, the other three vehicles are being driven by different people every other week. We all have our own 'base keys', so we needed a way to swap the car keys and house keys around quickly and easily. These were recommended by my husband, and a friend uses one for her work keys. I didn't realize how awesome they were until I started using them. They're thin, smooth metal wires with a metal piece that screws into the end of one of the wires to form a closed loop. And despite the metal being really thin and lightweight, it's super strong! As long as I turn the metal piece until it stops so that it forms a tight bond, it stays closed and holds the keys where I need them to be. So I can swap out the keys from 'base keychain' to 'base keychain' easily. The end slides easily into all the key openings that I have. They fit easily on the openings on our key fobs too. For some reason, our Nissan fob has this horrible, narrow strip instead of a hole to put on a keyring, so it's always been difficult to put that on a keyring. This metal loop fits right in and fixes that problem instantly. The loop can be hooked to a keyring, husband's preference, or put on a carabiner clip, my preference, with ease. I've also added keychain charms directly to the loop instead of leaving them on a longer keychain with a chain that leaves them dangling, to dress mine up. There's lots of space on the loop. I originally got a rainbow set, but I liked them so much that I got a black set, this one, for my work keys. Now I can separate and hand off the building keys to different people needing access, whether workers, folks with reservations, other employees, and I don't have to sit there awkwardly prying open my OG keychain ring while making even more awkward small talk. I use a carabiner for the work keys, so I can put a bunch of these loops on, find which one I need pretty quickly, and slide them off the carabiner by opening the carabiner clip. They're uniform size and length, sturdy, and I've reset my work keys and most of the household keys for the vehicles, plus I did the lawnmower, generator, shop, and trailer hardware keys as well. They're much easier to organize and to find-which is super important for when we're getting the trailer ready to go and are keeping track of the locks we're using. They're a simple and inexpensive tool, and they're awesome for organization. I got a ton in the pack, so I don't need more for myself. But I'll be buying some for my dad. He always has a pocket full of keys, and another 2 or 3 full sets on the mantle at home for his work stuff, and he's finding it difficult to sort them easily with his arthritis. I think these would be great to teach kids how to sort their keys as they're getting old enough to carry house keys as well. Read more
