My turtle beach wireless gaming headset broke, the mic snapping off, so I was in the market for an upgrade. Using chatgpt to compare my currently headset, I chose this one for comfort & durability, align with sound quality. I did not think I would even use the Bluetooth feature to be able to listen to my phone in my headset while playing PS5 but I actually use that every day now! I listen to audio books or music while casually gaming. I havent tried taking a phonecall with the headset on & didnt read the manual so idk if that is possible but it would be neat. What I love most about this headset tho is it is SOOO COMFORTABLE. I wear glasses and game for hours at a time & this feels like a cloud over my ears. Theres like an elastic type band that is adjustable that prevents the hard headband of the headset from ever even touching your head and the ear pads are so plush & soft. I'll never try another brand, I'm so in love with it. From what I understand, when you turn it in the color of the light around the power button indicates the battery status as well. I wanna start out by saying that this headset feels high-quality and has unbelievable comfort, however, that means nothing if the sound quality is poor. I bought this headset a couple weeks ago to replace a cheap Walmart headset I bought. On the wired mode this headset works phenomenally, but on the wireless mode, it sounds like my volume is turned down or some setting is not working properly. I downloaded all the software and messed with all the settings watch dozens of videos and read multiple Reddit post and was not able to get any fixes. I’m extremely disappointed with this headset as I typically don’t spend lots of money on peripherals. This is my first expensive headset and I would not recommend whatsoever. I bought this because the PS5 Pulse headset ear cuffs started to flake away. Also the battery on it did not last super long. The only con is that I don't really like how the Blue Tooth pairing button works. It does have a volume control knob on it which is nice. This product requires you to connect the adapter and once the adapter is connected it automatically diverts the PS5 audio to the headset. Even if the headset is not currently powered on. This can be a good or bad thing. I like it because I don't have to worry about switching it over. I do recommend getting one of the USB hubs to give you extra connections. I went with this one https://amzn.to/3KQiHqB which is the yoxxzus hub which has one usb c, 4 regular usb 3 and one usb 3 that allows charging. I only use one of the ports to charge the Pulse headset. So far I am pretty happy with this headset. It last a long time as well. And the range is pretty good. If you have a PS5 this is a good substitute for the Pulse. I am not an audiophile so I cannot speak to the mid's, low's, etc. I am happy with the purchase. Read more

Update: After finding little to no information from the SteelSeries to resolve my issue I found a detailed Youtuber who posted a video on how to factory reset the headset, after reset i was FINALLY able to pair the headset however theres a pending firmware update that keeps failing 🙄 all in all the headset is "Just ok" IMO, still returning. I rarely write reviews, but after owning this headset for just over two hours (and waiting nine days for delivery), I’m extremely disappointed. The headset will not pair via Bluetooth with my phone, which means I can’t connect to the app to set up sound profiles. The included paperwork and instructions are terrible and completely unhelpful. After searching online for solutions, I found countless complaints about the same issue on Reddit going back years. While it does connect to my PS5, the sound quality is awful. I’m replacing a six-year-old Razer headset, and straight out of the box back then, it sounded a thousand times better than this brand-new one. Huge mistake wasting my time and money on this brand.
