At first I thought the sticker was not coming off properly but after trying to tear it from the paper backing a few more times I realized the protective layer did indeed make it on the sticker I was trying to apply it to to. The directions are pretty straight-forward. I was using Sticker Shield to reapply a RFID tag to the windshield that was removed from another windshield. The first attempt, I only cut the sticker to be about 1/4" beyond the edge of the RFID tag which turned out not to be enough. The product is sticky but not that sticky. It was easy to remove and attempt again. The second sticker cut was 1/2" and provided to be sufficient. My advice is plan on cutting the sticker a little larger than expected, depending on the material that you are trying to adhere to glass. Fantastic product! For years I had heard that these were great for city stickers, but I never tried it. My transponder was recently replaced with one of those stickers with an electric chip for tolls. I wanted to be able to easily remove the sticker without damaging it if I ever got a new car, so I tried this. It was incredibly easy to set up and works well.
