This is the perfect bath mat for us. Our cats' litterbox is next to the bath. We had one cat who would consistently use the bathmat as the litterbox instead of the actual box. I decided to switch to this stone bath mat to take away the nice soft, moveable, absorbent mat to discourage that. Since switching, the stupid cat has decided that the litterbox is now the best option for toileting. The size is perfect; the width matches the opening door to the shower. The stone really does "dry" off quickly. The channels in the top of the mat helps move liquid away fast if you exit the shower while dripping. It's gorgeous and looks so much better than a traditional bath mat with the sleek, low profile design. My closet door doesn't catch on it like it did other plush bathmats. The texture is just enough to keep it from being slick, but not enough to make it uncomfortable. Personally, it feels like super fine sand under my feet. I was able to watch my footprints dry while I dressed after my shower which was kind of cool. It did dry pretty fast and I know I won't have to worry about standing water in it. I've got some concerns about the durability because it is very thin. And, for the size, it is very lightweight to be made entirely of stone. I purpose purchased the darker option to avoid staining issues. All in all, the mat is functional, textured just enough to prevent slipping, and lightweight so it will be easy to move. Read more

If you use a drying mat this product is for you. I used drying mats for years, I washed them once a week and they still will get mildew, which I could get out, I would throw it away and get a new one, plus it was always wet underneath.
