It took me a while before I actually needed to use this, but it sure made my job a lot easier! I have to say, if you have any kind of small screws you need to remove or install, this should cover everything for you, if you can find a screw smaller than what these can fit, I guess you're doing micro screwing under a scope. It comes with 72 bits, and the rotating racks allows all those bits to be stored in a very small areas so everything is contained in a small package. They are held in place magnetically, so do NOT drop it or you'll be picking up, and trying to re-organize, all those bits! Included are some helpful accessories, a metal double sided paddle for prying, a set of tweezers for handling those tiny screws, and a manual screwdriver with a free wheeling head if you need to use more force. The electric screwdriver did a great job of taking the screws out, and was easy and comfortable to use. There's a forward and reverse button, plus a momentary button to increase the speed of the driver, you have 5 speeds to choose from, however you must cycle through them if you want to decrease the speed to a lower speed, it's one way only. It also has a small display screen that shows you the speed chosen, and the amount of charge remaining. And what was really handy are the 4 LED's in the nose, they provided just enough illumination to allow me to clearly see what I was trying to do. They come on automatically, and shuts off after one minute (I timed it), so that is a nice feature too. All the bits, tools, and driver all fit nicely inside an aluminum case to store and protect them, and takes up very little space in a toolbox or on your work space. It is spring loaded when you insert the bit holder, and locks in place, you simply push in on the end and it releases for use. All in all a nice looking design, a large choice of bits, some useful tools, and a driver all contained in a convenient metal case. Read more
The media could not be loaded. For years I've wanted a miniature electric screwdriver. Eventually, I bought one at Harbour Freight that cost about $10. Unfortunately, it just doesn't have the power to do the job, and I never use it. This one, at $50 is pricey, but you get what you pay for. The screwdriver itself is made of aluminum. It is about 1/2" x 5/8" x 5 1/4" in size. It has three buttons: forward, reverse and speed select ( 1 of 5). The speed button also turns a light on or off when you long press it. It also has a digital display that indicates speed and state of charge. Charging is via a USB type C port on the back. The coolest thing about this tool is the storage case that holds the tool, all of the bits and accessories, that include a tweezers, spudger, and a manual handle. Most of the bits are cleverly contained in a rotating turret. They are held in place magnetically, which makes for very easy insertion and removal. Other tools I have use a friction fit that is very difficult to insert/ remove, so this feature is a blessing. The case containing all the parts is made of plastic, but it fits inside a spring loaded aluminum shell that you push to lock or unlock. It makes for a very nice, compact, sturdy and easy to use package, professional in every regard. While the torque seems to be substantial, in my limited use I did have to break the screws loose manually, so I feel like it could have a little more torque ( yes, the tool was fully charged, and changing the speed did not seem to effect the torque). The shaft of the bits are magnetic which holds them firmly in the tool while still making them easy to remove. However, the tips are not magnetic. You can magnetize them using the included magnetizer/ demagnetizer tool, but it would have been far more convenient if the default was magnetized, especially since we are dealing with such tiny screws. Another minor complaint I have is that the case does not accommodate the magnetizer/demagnetizer tool, so you have to carry it separately. I really wanted to give this tool 5 stars, and if it weren't for the torque issue, I would have. Still, this a a very high quality, versatile tool that I feel is worth the price and I can highly recommend. Read more
