These are cute but I have an issue with the photo they use versus what the boots actually look like. The picture is not the actual boots. If you look below, the models are wearing the actual style. I found these boots to be heavy and clunky looking for everyday wear. The toe area is way too square and oversized for my liking, especially because the black rubber sole underlining it sticks out like a sore (toe) thumb. They aren’t really flimsy, though I’m not sure how high-quality the suede material is because I won’t be wearing them throughout the season. Unfortunately, I would have to give these boots a pass. If you’re looking for the roughout leather look of the boot in the image, you won’t get that with these. What arrives is more of a suede fabric than textured leather. The color is also a little more orange honey than what appears on my monitor. The pull tabs do not have the contrast stitching as in the picture and the heel is rubber and not the stacked wood that appears in the image. Overall, it seems that another product’s image was used to advertise these boots, and these are some kind of a knock-off. That aside, what arrives isn’t terrible, but I don’t think I’d pay $65 for them as they look a little cheap. I ordered an 8.5, my typical size, and these run slightly large. Not large enough to order a size down though. The width of the toe box is good for my feet that are in between medium and wide width. The insole doesn’t come with a ton of cushioning but is not uncomfortable. The heel and sole feels stable and supportive. The shaft of the boot and opening are wide throughout and will accommodate a wide range of leg sizes. I would caution that if you have very skinny calves, these might look a little ridiculous on. The sloucing of the fabric and heel overhang look fine, but there are not as many slouch folds/tucks on my boots as in the image pic. I don’t know if I’m a fan of the pointy rubber sole at the front of the boot. I think it’s a tad too severe, especially considering the boot I received doesn’t have as strong of a reinforced, weathered, snub nose as the boot in the image. Overall, I’ll probably wear these and they’re not bad, but they are also not great. From a distance, most people won’t be able to see the things I find makes them look cheap, but up close, it’s obvious. At $65, I find them to be overpriced and do not see any value for the money.
