I ordered two. One in light gray and one in tan. The tan colored hat fit perfectly. The gray was super huge. I laundered both in a mesh wash bags. They survived the wash and still look like hats. However, the brims now have wrinkles and puffed-up spots on them. Kinda disappointing as I hadn’t even gotten to wear them yet, but NBD as I’m just going to use them to mow the yard and the neighbors certainly don’t care. The light gray one, in addition to being extremely large, BROKE. The elastic rope you use to cinch the hat tighter broke away from its mooring INSIDE of the fabric tunnel/tube it sits in. It took awhile, but I was finally able to fish it back through the tunnel/tube and will try to stitch it back in place. Not worth the hassle of returning, but I WOULD NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. Update: even though I sewed the he!! out of the elastic cord when reattaching it to the fabric tube, it broke loose again. Thankfully, the larger size (without any cinching required) fits my husband, so he took that one. As for the puffy spots on the brim: I realized that, although I laundered these like I do all of my Boonie hats, THESE do not have multiple rows of stitching along the brim keeping the fabric laying flat through the wash. Going forward, I will only buy hats with THAT type of brim since I wash them after every wear. Read more
