I purchased this suitcase a few years ago and it is still in good shape. I have flown with it 25 times since then and although it does have a few scratches it has help up well, even the wheels. The handled is a bit loose, I tried to tighten it - didn't work. Of the 25 flights approximately 13 times the bag was checked and not taken into the cabin. It has survived that too!! One reason I feel it is still in good condition is I use luggage straps (2 straps). This takes the pressure off the zipper which can be troublesome for any clam shell/zipper case. Even the wheels are still acceptable - perhaps in fair condition, but that is due to the sidewalks, cobblestones, dirt road, and rocky surfaces I have dragged my suitcase over!!! Read more

This little suitcase is just the right size for a trip and fits easily in the overhead bin of all commercial flights. I like the roominess and expandable feature. The one (huge) drawback is that the shell is too thin. It's not an issue when I carry it on the plane and put it in the overhead compartment, but when I check it that's another story. Obviously, I'm not like a professional baggage handler. I roll the suitcase, pick it up, and set it down. But when I've checked this bag, the professionals must toss it or drop it with some force. Now I realize that I'm a light packer, and for that reason a seasoned pro might miscalculate the amount of force to use to move the little suitcase from conveyor to cart. The end result is that the sides got cracked in about three places. I used duct tape to hold it back together for my next trip, but I gate-checked the bag and it came out of the system with additional cracks in places where the duct tape wasn't. In summary, it's a nice and light suitcase to use as a carry-on but not sturdy enough to be used as checked luggage. Read more
