Works very well for extra insurance in gaskets, o-rings and plumbing drain connections to seal microscopic imperfections in those connections. They call it a belt and suspenders approach, which I try to apply to most projects I work on. It's food safe, so as long as you don't go overboard, it's okay to apply to joints, o-rings in water faucets, etc. It cleans up quickly and easily with isopropyl / rubbing alcohol on exposed surfaces or your hands. The cap is easy to wipe off and it doesn't air cure or dry out and the packaging is a thick plastic tube vs those metal / aluminum ones that always seem to develop rupture points. I use this in conjunction with setting silicone in a lot of plumbing projects. I like that they also have an oil and spray version of something similar, depending on the application you're working with.
