seems like it is pricey- but I have several pairs of these insoles and they are the best! Did not need to go to the retail shop and get somebody to custom make me something that cost hundreds of dollars. Instead, I am fortunate enough to be able to use these prosthetics and they provide the support that I need to take pressure off my feet. I have several pair that I swap amongst my various shoes that I wear. Easy to remove an insert into another shoe. They make a tennis shoe type and a high heeled type. I have both and recommend both. Do yourself a favor and go for the medium expensive solution first - you may be pleasantly surprised how much just a little support will help! Note: I worked in children’s and women’s shoes for many many years - I know what support we all need and I know what shoes have and do not have it. My podiatrist recommended this brand to use when my orthotics don't fit in my shoes. I bought the 3/4 length so my toes would not be more crowded in my shoes. I have flat feet and need good arch support and these provide that very well. I was concerned the 3/4 might slip in my shoes, but it has not. I don't feel them in the shoe, other than the arch support. I was hesitant to buy these because some other brands cost less, but I felt the importance of having my feet supported was the #1 priority. And my podiatrist said these last a very long time. Having these inserts made it possible to wear many of my shoes that I've not been able to wear in years. These insoles fit well in my dressier boots I wear to work. My boots didn’t have support, but these insoles make them comfortable to wear all day. I had a back injury recently and I’ve noticed a decrease in back pain too, could be related to the insoles. They cup your heel so the weight is distributed better. For arch support I would say medium, however I’ve been told I have high arches. They can be easily switched between shoes. Fit my extra wide and medium wide widths too. Read more
After spending thousands on custom orthotics over the years, I’m thankful that SuperFeet makes these and sells them for a moderate price that I bought nearly one for every non-Dansko shoe. (Dansko has built in arch support in many of its shoes with removable soles.) Made in South Korea, these are quality, durable, long lasting orthotics that have helped me tremendously. They literally saved and soothed my functionally flat feet over the last several years. My photos show the orthotic’s height of the arch at 1 inch. Note that I placed the orthotic on a thin platform to match my ruler that starts zero just above the end. The photo showing the backside of the orthotic depicts how the arch is well supported by struts that sit on the surface of the inside sole, ensuring solid, stable support. These orthotics easily fit into many of my shoes, dress boots and hiking boots, enabling me to be comfortably on my feet, standing and walking for far longer without them. I went to see a podiatrist about some problems I had been having with my feet. He suggested I try Superfeet orthotics. What a difference they have made! I no longer have constant pain in my knees or feet. They keep my foot stabilized and fully supported. These half orthotics work great for, what I call, my "fun" shoes; not running or cross trainers, while the green, full size all purpose orthotics are for my everyday athletic shoes.
