I use these to create steps to the back patio for my dogs...needed something bigger than a traditional "step", with traction to avoid slipping, and would hold up to a lot of rain (Pacific NW). They've worked wonderfully and I love that you can stack them. I stacked two so they were relatively level to the sliding door, then one after it to step down on. It made my clumsy dog much more comfortable walkout straight out onto it first then stepping down. But the other dogs do absolutely fine with just one step directly under the doorway. The drop is about 8-9", so one of these makes that only about "5 which is necessary for the dogs with short legs and arthritis. I think these would make a great option for kneeling at the tub to was your dog or small child too! Maybe add a knee pad if your knees are really bony like mine! Excellent value! Read more

It's very sturdy and plenty wide. I had double knee replacement surgery, so it's difficult to get out of the tub without getting on my knees, because they are still tender if I try to kneel on them. I used the step as a boost in the tub to sit on, along with a hot tub booster cushion. The step was floating, but when I put the cushion on top, it held it down still enough for me to sit. I tried a shower chair previously, but it sat too high inorder to get the full effects of the tub. I have one bathtub step and I tried standing on it also to see how sturdy it really is (I'm close to 300 pounds). I give it a 5 for it's sturdiness. It's very well made! These are the perfect size for my needs. They are wide enough and strong enough to support my husband's weight (230 lbs). The only weakness I see is how easily they can, be pushed under the bed. They also appear to be more unsable if used with a rug of some kind. Read more

This is a great step! I purchased it for a houseboat that had two steps down into the boat with the second step being deeper than the first one. This caused you to pitch forward and feel like you were going to fall. The step has completely solved that problem! It rests on a petty slick fiberglass surface and does not slide at all. It is very sturdy, hubs is about 250. Liked it so well we ordered the second one for the other end of the boat! My only complaint is I would have preferred that it not have the "wave" shape and been just a rectangle with rounded corners! Oh, we did not put the rubber surface sent with the step on. This product really works. My husband has been very ill and I don't have the strength to keep him from falling if he gets off balance. He's larger but these are wide enough and sturdy so he can easily step up with both feet and steady himself until he has to take the next step or even turn around. They hook together so there's no danger of having a gap between the steps, but they then separate so I can store them away. I even use these to get him into our truck. So much safer now. Read more

We ordered these to help my 91 yo mom (who uses a walker). She was unable to get into our Ford F150 and after looking at a bunch of step alternatives, we decided to try these. They are perfect! We stacked 3 steps together and now she has no problem getting into the truck. The steps are stable and lightweight so they are easy to transport. I purchased the step and was unaware that the mat was not stuck to the base. I placed one foot on the step while getting off my bed and the mat surprisingly moved with my foot and slammed it into the wall which caused substantial damage to my big toe and minor damage to my other toes. The amount of blood was alarming. I had to purchase another step from a different company and checked it to ensure that the mat was carefully secured.
