This is a nice light oil for lubrication and protection. I typically use a cooling and lubricating aerosol as I groom my dog to keep the blades clean and sharp. After use I like to brush the blades clean and apply a small amount of oil to the blades then run the clippers briefly to disperse the oil before I store them for the next use. I also apply oil to blades I use less frequently, wrap them in a paper towel and store them in a plastic bag to protect them. Light oil is also useful for protecting the bare metal and lubricating the hinges on my hoof nippers. The oil is dispensed in a convenient bottle that was safety sealed with paper and foil over the bottle opening. Once opened, the dropper tip has a red cap that can be securely tightened to prevent leaks. I found that the oil came out of the dropper tip faster than I expected, but once I realized this I soon adapted to it. This is a giant bottle of clipper oil that will probably last me forever. I finally ran out of the tiny tube of oil that came with my clippers so I got this one to use after each cleaning. It works great and even comes with 2 brushes to help you get all the hair out of your clippers. I've been trying to find other uses for it since it comes with so much. So far I've been using it to keep my tools from rusting and to lube my paper shredder. The bottle comes with a red screw-on cap that will prevent spills if the bottle is accidentally pushed over while not in use. The kit includes two large, identical brushes to help clean the loose hair off the clipper blades before applying the oil. Note: This product is not a "spray bottle" in my opinion, as stated in the title and description. It is a slowly tilt-and-drip bottle. The media could not be loaded. I got this bottle of lube for both my beard and hair clippers. I often will cut my own hair and every time I turn on the clippers, you can hear excessive noise. One drop of this lube and immediately the noise reduces. Unsure how this compares but any lube is better than no lube. I could not find a msds sheet but it says it’s mineral fluid based which means it won’t hurt or damage hair, clothing, etc. it’s a fairly large bottle for only needing a drop here and there. If you run a salon or use clippers often, this could come in handy. However, there are a lot of applications where this type of lube could work. Read more
