I really wanted to give this a 5 star rating but there are two things that kept me from doing that. It doesn't have as good a battery life as one I had previously purchased. The second issue is it will not charge connected to a 20 watt charger, only a 5 watt. It's not a deal breaker for me, but I was about to discard it after trying to charge it on a few of the chargers I had around the house. I had run into another USBc device with the same issue before, so I tried a 5 watt adapter and it charged with no issues. It's a lot cheaper and better for the environment than getting a disposable wand lighter. Read more

I’m completely stymied by the reviews that mention “sound” made by this lighter. One said it makes a high pitched sound and another said it is loud and annoying as shown in the video. What video? I couldn’t find ANY videos on the entire product page. And as far as the high pitched noise, even with my excellent hearing I can’t even hear a single sound. This item has a safety on/off button which, when in the off position, disables the activation button completely. It can’t be accidentally activated without deliberately turning the on/off button to the on position. Each full charge gives you hundreds of lights. The charging seems to be fast. It came fully charged, but after lighting it a couple times, the charge lights went from 4 to 3. After being plugged less than 5 minutes it was back to full charge. Another plus, is the 12-month no-return replacement warranty you can activate at the Suprus website when you receive your item. At its price this is an outstanding item. Think of all the lighter fluid, matches (with possible burnt fingers) and disposable lighters you won’t have to buy possibly for years. At this price, I bought one for my son, my best friend and myself. I believe even the price of 3 items will be a huge saving over time. The item doesn’t get hot even when it’s in use. Only the candle wick, gas burner, etc will get hot after igniting. The immediate reaction is to pull away when the flame ignites, so the lighter itself doesn’t have a chance to heat up and will be cool to the touch in seconds after use. Don’t worry about strange sounds, the item getting hot and melting anything, or the item accidentally activating (assuming the on/off button is in the OFF position). Just do yourself a favor and get yourself one of these wonderful wind-proof lighters. You’ll be glad you did. Also, they would be awesome gifts! Read more
