I’m not going to lie, this is nifty, I’ve got teachers from down the hall borrowing this bad boy. It’s not even heavy like some might think. I use it with a ryobi battery and the long glue stick so I can get my job done quicker. It’s gets plenty hot quickly, and I can stand on a ladder without running an extension cord. I like everything about this cordless glue gun. I use it with my Ryobi battery (not included). Heats quickly, can use all temp glue sticks, precision tip. It is a bit bulky with the battery but I don’t find that to be an issue for me. When the battery pack is inserted you can stand the glue gun up with zero dripping. I have several Ryobi 18 volt power tools. So I thought I would give this one try. Never used a glue gun before so I was in the blind. The insert panels of all of my kitchen cabinets were getting loose (that's another story) and would rattle when they were closed. I glued the insert panels all around the frame of the door from the inside. It was kinda hard to get a solid continuous bead, but that was probably just me. Remember... I'm a first timer. But the gun worked as advertised. Heated up quick and cooled down nicely. It dripped a little, but I think that was just the nature of the beast until it cooled down. So if you already have Ryobi 18 volt power tools with batteries and charger and you don't like messin' with power cords, then this is the tool for you. The 10" glue sticks are convenient, but the 4" ones work just as good, just gotta insert them more often. Right now the doors don't rattle, but we'll see if they stay that way......... Read more

This is a really great high temperature cordless glue gun. As others have mentioned, it heats up in about 5 minutes (or even less). I would comment on a few things that I didn't see mentioned. It is a professional item and this has some subtle but very useful implications: * Nozzles are replaceable -- you can fit any Surebonder Pro nozzle and they come with variety of different shapes * Protection from burning yourself -- there is this rubber thing on top of the nozzle so it is actually difficult to get burned. Never got burned once. * It is full high temp pro-gun: you can use High-Temp Acrylic glue sticks that require slightly higher temperatures than regular high-temp glue sticks (but supposedly bond better) * The item itself is very light actually. Most of the final weight comes from the battery. - even with the battery attached it is MUCH lighter than a comparable size drill or impact wrench And of course, the main thing: * it is completely portable!
