These are pants, and they’re definitely on the tighter side in the butt. Not full-on compressive, but tighter than I expected, especially for something that’s supposed to be breezy and casual. That said, they’re actually pretty comfortable. The fabric feels kind of canvasy but has stretch, and it’s mostly breathable. Feels like something meant for summer. I ordered my usual size. They don’t ride up and they don’t stay super tight once you’re actually wearing them, but the fit back there could be better. They’re casual, but you can wear them out. They look fine as long as the waistband is covered. I wouldn’t dress them up too much. The fits not bad enough for me to reorder or return. Has the look of almost some dress pants or nice Golf pants. Elastic waistband makes very comfortable. Great fit, especially if you're carrying a little extra weight around the hips. These were a total miss for us. While the material is actually thick and durable (definitely a heavier polyester), the style and cut are way off from what’s shown in the listing. The fit looked more like something from a costume rack than casual wear. They didn’t fall right, weren’t flattering, and just had an odd shape overall.
