Buy it. Been using it for years and years. Easy to apply, let dry, buff off with soft cloth. The unit even comes with a buffing pad at the bottom of the bottle, all in the one unit. One application lasts for 1-2 days of heavy skiing. Does not matter what the snow conditions are, wet snow or dry. BUT if the snow is wet or on the warm side, this stuff will work miracles. Read more

This wax was the closest I could get to universal, quick drying, roll-on xc ski wax for all conditions. The polishing fabric built into the applicator is a nice touch too. This particular wax is better for the environment. Read more

I had previously used the Wend brand liquid wax, and loved that. My local ski shop quit carrying it so I looked online for something similar. I know the Swix brand is well espablished so I gave this a try. The wax is in a suspension of liquid that evaporates almost immediately, leaving a very thin coat of wax. But it evaporates so quickly that it's hard to tell whether you've covered the area or not. The button valve is in the middle of the sponge applicator, so you have to push it down on the ski, then race to spread the liquid before it evaporates. Not too hard once you get the hang of it, and because it dries so fast the first ski is ready to buff by the time you coat the second ski. It seems to work well, my skis are very fast, and I often pass other people on the flat cat-trails. My thoughts are that because the contents are partialy a solvent that evaporates, I'm not getting the same amount of actual product that I would get in the Wend-type liquid wax, which dries more slowly and doesn't require buffing. That type is applied with a small square of soft cloth, also very easy, and I know it lasted me quite a long time. I'll just have to see how long the Swix - same 4 oz. size - lasts, with so much solvent as a component. Read more

I was skeptical but I was WOWed. I applied this the night before an ski day according to the instructions. The proof that this works came to me the moment I and 5 other skiers were preparing to board a lift. The automatic gates opened and we all slid down onto the plastic conveyor belt right at the moment when the lift was stopped, including the conveyor. All other skiers in my boarding group stayed where they were on the plastic conveyor stuck in place, but I just kept on sliding toward the group in front of me. I stopped myself and turned around to see that everybody was as stunned as I was that I had just kept on going. This stuff makes your skis slick! My only issue was with the initial application when I could not figure out if I was supposed to remove the red tip in the center or not. But apparently, you just push down on the ski surface a bit when applying and I believe the little red tip controls the flow of liquid coming out of the applicator. I will definitely buy this again when I run out. Read more
