Awesome little CD player!

I am actually impressed by this modern take on the cd player. I have had this for a few days now and I have enjoyed it! We took a small road trip and I took this with us and the roads were very bumpy at times. The music didn’t skipped once! In the 90’s all my cd players always skipped! So that alone is amazing! Sound quality is really good as well! I spent several nights staying up and listening to my old collection of CDs! It is a great companion to my record player and my mp3 player! The value for the money is good for the tech you get with this simple cd player. The Bluetooth connection is great. I have been listening to it through my soundbar for my tv. I haven’t come across any problems with Bluetooth connectivity. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. Update: Wanted to update my review: Feb. 6. 2026. I have had this CD player for awhile now. It still plays CDs great and continues to amaze me! I still have not heard this skip any of my CDs. Which amazes me because some of my favorite CDs are pretty badly scratched. I have taken it to work every day and I bring my my orange CD organizer too! I play my CDs at work at my desk! It continues to charge just fine, connects to my sound bar at home via Bluetooth pretty good and quick. Connects to my Beats Headphones at work just fine. Bluetooth continues to work reliably. I continue to love this little CD player. When people see me at work with it they have asked where to buy it. My office you will see a few of these around now! Lol. Read more

Nice, Affordable Personal CD Player

Plays well and looks attractive. Made in China, the body's construction is all plastic. The control section is simulated wood, but it is still appealing. Instructions are somewhat confusing, but with some trial and error, anyone can figure out its operation. It tends to be a fingerprint magnet, especially the matte-black portion. Fortunately, a little isopropyl alcohol and a soft cotton cloth will remove it. The syitren R300 CD Player is certainly worth a consideration. Read more

Too much noise from the motor (updated - defective unit)

The media could not be loaded. This thing is loud. I could not get past how loud the disc spinning was. I’ve included a video to demonstrate. You can hear the music kick in on my headphones partway through. The disc motor is disruptively loud for open-back headphones. In-ear might be enough to negate the noise, but unfortunately this is too loud for my use. UPDATE: I didn't find any similar complaints about noise in the reviews and came to the conclusion that my unit was defective. After exchanging, I can confirm that the new unit does not make any kind of loud noise like the first one I had. To their credit, Syitren reached out and offered a full refund based on my review. With a working unit, I give this thing a very solid 4/5 stars. I compared this to a couple of other CD players of a similar form factor at the <$100 price point, and this one definitely sounded the best. The others all had issues with muddying/crackling on higher things like cymbals and guitars. I am far from an audiophile and I could notice this right away. I also appreciate how good this thing looks sitting on a shelf. I can leave this out on a shelf and it actually looks kind of cool. I can leave the lid open and watch the disc spin when listening to an album. The one star removed is for a couple of things. First, I wish that volume level was maintained when powering this down. It's a bit finicky to have to reset to my preferred volume every time I turn it on. Second, I wish the 3.5mm jack was on the back of the unit so things looked a bit cleaner when using it. There is an optical out on the back that can be used to avoid this, though. Finally, I wish the internal amplification was just a little bit stronger. I was hoping this could power my 80 ohm DT990s without an amp, but I definitely need an amp to have comfortable headroom on this. Overall, if you are looking for a quality CD player to sit on a desk or shelf (i.e. not mobile/walking with), this is a great little stylish option. 2ND UPDATE: What started out as very occasional skipping after a few weeks of use now seems to be getting worse. I'm regularly getting a skip or small cluster of skips a few times throughout the course of an album. The CDs are pristine with zero scratches. Searching reviews, it seems that others have issues following this same pattern. Read more

$100 CD Player That Can Scratch Your CDs — Avoid

I bought this because I'm getting into CDs for funzies. I own a used Apple Superdrive that I got from Reebelo but I wanted a CD player that worked on its own for the experience. I bought this thinking it was gonna be at least decent, as this was shown on NY times as being the best CD player of 2025. I got it, opened it, tried it only to be left in utter disappointment. The first symptom this thing had was that It struggled to even start the beginning of the CD (it stuttered bad within the first 20 seconds), can you imagine trying this out and seeing that it does not work good within the first 20 seconds??? CD players are supposed to be quiet as the disc spins over the laser. You shouldn’t hear scraping, rubbing, or mechanical noises — the laser reads the disc smoothly without touching it. My Apple SuperDrive does this perfectly: silent, precise, and stutter-free. The R300, by contrast, sounds like the laser is physically contacting the disc, which is both loud and potentially damaging. Last symptom I got before I gave up on this thing was when reversing tracks, for some reason when going back to track two it also struggles bad on the first 20 seconds of the song. I tried not one CD but three to make sure it was not scratched or something, I bought the CDs sealed brand new from FYE so they are not scratched. My Superdrive is super quiet, does not make those noises that this unit makes, and the CDs play perfectly with ZERO stutter. For $100 this is absolutely a ripoff. Last point, build quality is absolutely cheap, very plastic-y and hollow. Read more
