I was hesitant because of the price, but the quality quickly eased that concern. The design ideas are smart, and the functionality is straightforward. It assembles easily, sits securely, and cleanup is simple after a session. Fit has been good on my setup, and overall durability feels solid, but the glass is the part that makes me cautious. It seems like it could break if you are not careful during handling or cleaning. Heat management is my biggest concern. This bowl runs hotter than my other bowls, so it takes more attention to avoid overheating. I also still question the choice of aluminum, even though it does perform well. I was pleasantly surprised at the weight and heft of this bowl. I expected something flimsy or cheap feeling as is the case with so many hookah accessories these days. There is more than enough room to pack a decent bowl of shisha and plenty of surface area under the coals to heat it evenly to provide a good session. The whole thing was simple to set up and use and was pretty intuitive if you're familiar with hookah. Recently I've been trying a bunch of small hookahs from here on Amazon and other places. They usually come with absolutely crap bowls, so I'm always on the lookout for replacements. This SafePak bowl is surprisingly great. Some hookah aficionados don't like glass bowls. This one is just fine for me. It took a bit of trial and error to figure out the best way to pack the shisha for the best session. I was worried about packing it too high. I found that the aluminum heat management system made it so I could pack it high and it wouldn't burn. It also made the coals last a good long time. Really excellent. The thing I don't like about the HMS is that it's difficult to maneuver when you're in the in the middle of a session. The rubber rings around the edge do nothing to protect from the heat. It does have spaces where I could fit in tongs, though having some specially designed for this would have been a good addition. The list price of $42 is a great value for a bowl and HMS combo.
