Very nice phone cradle that’s spring loaded and automatically adjusts to hold different size phones. Considering it’s all aluminum, looks good, functional, and not over priced, I would definitely buy it again. Note, It needs to be mounted to a sturdy base, so I seriously doubt it would work in one of those light duty AC vent mounting brackets. The base needs to withstand the force of pushing one side of the cradle over far enough to rotate your phone into the cradle. Then, the spring pushes back to securely hold the phone in place. Got this to upgrade from my original tackform mount that I’ve have for 4 years, I loved that one but seen the new vibration dampener and the new rubber sides and wanted to upgrade. I can tell already it’s just as good of quality as the last one and can’t wait for many years of use Read more

I’ve owned the original Tackform 20mm perch mount for a couple of years now. I quit using it for a while because of the issues iPhone was having with the sonic vibration affecting the camera. So I was excited to see that Tackform finally engineered their own solution to the problem. Once I installed the new one I was pleasantly surprised by the improvements that had been made. The stick-on rubber pads on the sides of the clamp that fell off within the first few months I owned the original, have been replaced with permanently installed pads that offer more security. The slide action feels better than the original. And the additional piece that helps reduce vibration is very nice. I tugged really hard on it to see if it would break or have any issues holding my phone, and I’m extremely impressed. And knowing that my iPhone camera won’t be damaged by using my handlebar mount is definitely a huge plus. I highly recommend the new vibration dampening Tackform mount! Read more

This product is sturdy. It doesn't mess around. Metal, not plastic. This is the second one I've purchased so what does that say? It's the right tool for the job.
