I like Parker Shaving Brushes. Unfortunately the handle of Parker Brushes is too large in diameter to fit in most of the brush holders I have tried or seen advertised. Here is the exception! This razor and brush stand will hold Parker Shaving Brushes by the handle "waist" very nicely. However the Parker extra large shaving brushes are still too big for even this stand. There is enough material in the bracket used to hold the brush that a little "dremel" action to remove a small amount material on the inside of the bracket is all that is needed to fix the problem if you like the extra large handled brushes (like I do). Since this is solid stainless steel it is no problem, and they seem to hold up well in the humid bathroom environment with no visible corrosion or discoloration. If you're looking for a razor stand, this is the one to buy. It's very solid and made of stainless steel. Chrome plated steel razor stands will rust. I bought the Colonel Conk Classic Shave Stand 775 Chrome about a year ago and it started to rust after about nine months. The Colonel Conk razor stand and all others of that style have a stamped sheet metal base with an iron weight which is extremely prone to rust. Once the rust starts it can't be halted. The Colonel Conk razor stand ended up in the trash. This Deluxe "Modern" Stainless Steel Safety Razor stand looks better than the pictures. The pictures don't do it justice. The base is solid stainless steel and very heavy. If you're in the market for a safety razor and shaving brush stand, I don't think you'll be disappointed with this high quality solid stainless steel safety razor and shaving brush stand. UPDATE: I've added a picture after one year in humid bathroom service. There is no hint of rust. This razor stand looks as good today as when it was delivered. This is the best razor stand you can buy on Amazon.com. Avoid any razor stand that isn't 100% stainless steel construction. If the item description isn't clear about all the materials, don't buy it. I highly recommend this safety razor stand, because it's not likely to rust, it's very high quality, and it's a very elegant design. This stand would be more versatile if it had a double brush, two wide slot holder, then it would be fully compatible with the Merkur Futur. Perhaps the seller could offer this as an option. Read more

I bought this stand because it is solid stainless instead of chrome plated mystery metal. (Or plastic) Cons: It's not the best finished thing in the world. There are burrs in the joint. The bottom is not finished. Could use some rubber on the bottom. There are very subtle grind marks that the polish did not perfectly remove. The arms needed very minor straightening to be perfect. I consider those things acceptable since stainless steel is a much more expensive material. Overall, it looks quite good unless you inspect it really closely. Pros: It's nice and heavy. Quite stable. Seems plenty sturdy. It's a good size in that the arms don't overhang unnecessarily far. I also really like the style. It's maybe just a touch of a retro-future streamline moderne sort of thing. And, it won't rust and there is no plating to corrode off. So this should last me the rest of my life, in theory. Worth the few extra bucks over the junky stands. I'm satisfied. Read more
Super quality. All Stainless. 4-piece screw-together simplicity. Modern good looks are a great bonus. My old brush stand was a hillbilly affair that worked fine but lacked a certain modern flair, as the picture shows. The stainless steel used to manufacture this stand is not corrosion resistant. I purchased this item on Nov 27, 2021. It was beautiful, heavy and shiny. Today is May 16, 2023. It is no longer beautiful, still heavy, and rusty. Read more
