These casual pants have become my go to for just about everything. The fabric is incredibly lightweight and soft, almost like wearing nothing at all, yet they look polished enough for casual work environments or dinner out. The quick drying material is perfect for travel or unexpected rain showers. I wore them on a humid day and stayed surprisingly cool and dry. The water resistance is a nice bonus. It definitely handles light rain long enough to get indoors. The elastic waistband with drawstring is genius. It looks like a regular chino but feels like lounge pants. The straight leg cut is flattering without being too baggy or too slim. Pockets are generously sized and zip securely, which I really appreciate. I've worn these for everything: casual Fridays at the office, running errands, traveling, and lounging at home. They wash well and dry quickly with no wrinkles. These are pretty good pants. I like the fabric and the style, they're very comfortable. I use mine primarily for exercising and wearing around the house. They're great for any kind of high-exertion activity, moisture wicking and cool to the touch. If you've read any of my reviews before you know I love 21st century materials. These are the same. They feel great and perform well. All that being said- I'm not a fan of drawstrings. That's just a personal thing, so perhaps I shouldn't knock a star off for that, but I'd like to have the option to wear them to the office- they'd be great there- alas, can't tuck a shirt into a drawstring waist. The pants are very lightweight. The quality of the material makes these easy to pack for my travels and not having to worry about the wrinkles. You do get that whisper sound of the material as you walk. The XL fits comfortable with an elastic waist and I wear a size 36-38. I would say they are true to size. My height is 5'9" and they hit me right below my ankle. It is an added bonus to have the 2 zippered front pockets which will keep my cell phone and wallet safe from falling out.
