I was very skeptical about buying these due to the cheap price. I figured I could always return them if it didn't work. These are the best winter pants I have ever owned!! I have taken this pair of pants out 6x so far in different terrain during the winter. They perfrom just like I wanted them too!! I bought a size larger as recommended. It made sense so I could layer underneath. I took these snowshoeing in -12F with no base layer and they kept me toasty warm! I have also used them ice fishing without a base layer and they kept me just as warm! I love all the pockets, especially the cargo pockets! Roomy and I could stuff a lot of items I needed in them. Easy access, convenient and roomy! Cons: My only complaint would be the sizing. I wear a 34 and bought a 36 (size up as recommended). the waist was large and I needed suspenders to keep them from falling down. I can see where layering would make a better fit, however, these were so warm, I didn't need to layer. Even at -12! So I bought another pair at my size of 34. The waiste fit great, but the legs were tight! Real restricive movement and not as comfortable. So the sizing is kind of weird, but the suspenders work well, and as much as I get out, it was worth buying the suspenders to have winter pants perfrom like this!! PROS: Cargo pockets, storage, the pants are flexible and stretch when needed which helps on winter hikes and snowshoeing. I like that the gaiters adhere to my boots really well. I keeps snow from getting in and isn't restrictive on my ankles. Totally waterproof too - in deep snow anyways. They are stylish, and I can wear them going to the lodge or just casually. Heck for 30 bucks, I bought 3 pairs. They are totally windproof and seem to have good breathability too. I'm totally happy with these pants! Oh....i was concerned about how the seems around the knees would feel as I don't like these style of pants. The fleece lining made this a non issue. hope this helps you decide! Read more

It is super warm in the cold Rocky Mountains. I do a lot of hikes and active jobs where stretchable fabric is very important. It seems a durable material and quite comfortable. Would recommend snow pants suspenders though, they are a little big compared to normal pants (which is still useful for base layers). Read more

The best winter pants I’ve ever owned !!!! Length perfect, they fit great and protected from the cold weather sufficiently!!!! I would recommend these pants to anyone who lives in a cold climate because we had a very cold winter, (in the South US), this winter and they protected me well, of course, with some thermals on, but on days that it was a little bit warmer, but still cold I was able to wear them without thermals and still be extremely warm. I just got these today, and I almost wanna give them 4 stars JUST for taking so long after I had them ordered forever. They are good quality and the zippers work great. I wear a 38/30 at 197 lbs. And it fits good. Not sure how breathable they are since I do not want water and wind on my legs. But they feel good and have a nice look. When compared to other brands, they are a good value.
