This is the best product I have ever purchased for cold weather protection in terms of head gear. Very thick material, warm and comfortable. I cannot use this with sunglasses as the airflow goes right under the lense and fogs them up IMMEDIATELY whether they are cold or warm doesn't seem to matter. The GOOD: Its warm, comfy and goes under my jacket. Will wear this for a few winters as the quality seems very nice. Read more

This balaclava is very much as described. Use is pretty straightforward. When I put it on, there was an odd smell. I aired it out for 2 days, and the odd smell dissapated. The mouth/nose mask was not as secure as I would have desired, but is just adequate. I really only plan to use this when/if there is a heavy snowstorm, and I need to shovel. I'll wear snow goggles and this balaclava to shield my head and face from the wind and snow. So, for me, this is a specialty headgear. From my examination of the product, it should suffice. Dinged the rating because of the odd smell. Moderate level of recommendation. If it holds up well, and keeps my head, face warm during use, I'll add this information in an update. Read more
I purchased the purjoy balaclava after shopping around, reading reviews, and thinking way too hard for a few days. There are many option on Amazon, and I wanted to try and find the best fit for me on my first try. I received it today and my initial impression was "the color is exactly as pictured! The fabric is very soft, and feels high quality! It fits my head, both with hood up and when I pull the hood off and around my neck! It doesn't smell overly chemically!". These were all concerns I had after reading various similar product reviews, but was happy to find that none of negative reviews applied to this item in regards to me. It is quite thick and fluffy feeling, very cozy when on, and does not have a large logo imprinted anywhere on it, which I like.
