I love that this insulated water bottle has a protective silicon bottom that is so easy to slip off, yet firmly stays in place when on, and the drinking spout is wide for easier cleaning. It’s leak-proof and offers a handle for carrying. The color is just as vibrant as the photos. After at least a dozen washes and being the primary water bottle my 8-year-old uses at school (being tossed around at recess), it has held up flawlessly with no scratches or dents. I have tried many water bottles thru the years with all kinds of features. With me they are subjected to all kinds of knocks, drops, heat and dirt. Eventually I found fault with every last one and/or they broke, most of the time it was the drinking "mechanism." My husband purchased one of these and I kept an eye on the ease of use, how long the ice lasted, ease of refilling from the refrigerator's ice and water dispenser and ease of cleaning (since I am the one who cleaned it...yep that would be a husband.) I could not find a fatal flaw so I ordered the 32 oz one since on a hot summer day I may refill 2-3 times a day depending upon activity. After a few months I still think it is the best one I have ever had. Very sturdy, keeps ice for hours and sometimes even overnight, easy to rinse out and it has never leaked nor does it have any condensation on the outside...ever! Replaced all of our missing and leaking bottles with this fabulous Takeya bottles. I bought several 24oz and 32oz bottles. The smaller is great for my third grader and the larger is great for my high school athletes. I fill them full with pellet ice and water every morning. If my kid hasn’t finished the full 24oz by the end of school, there’s usually still ice left. Keeping it cool! We haven’t tested hot liquids, but probably never will in the Arizona heat. The fact that ice remains at the end of a 106 degree day speaks volumes about these bottles. Durable, great colors and super solid, we all love Takeya! Read more

I have a bigger Takeya Actives bottle but wanted a smaller one for short walks and saw this one on sale. I love the size - easier to carry around with it's attached handle and easy to drink from with it's wide mouth. It has a screw top which I prefer so I know it's locked down. It unscrews easy, but it's not instant, if that's what you are looking for. In hot weather -- say 85+ ice will melt over a few hours. Specific time will depend on how much ice you start with - more takes longer, of course. This is a bit disappointing to me, and why I didn't give it 5 stars. To be fair I've never tried other "top name" brand bottles to be able to compare. At room temp, though, ice will stay frozen for a day. More importantly, water always stays cold for a day as advertised. This bottle does not sweat and, as with all Actives line bottles, it has a sweat-proof lid too, which makes it great for hot and cold beverages, though I don't use mine for hot beverages. It's strictly water. However, it is dishwasher safe, and I've washed it a few times with no fading or flaking. I do not know if the top is dishwasher safe, but I don't put it in to keep the steam heat off the rubber seals. I have the Cobalt color, which doesn't match the online photo which looks bolder. In real life mine was a bit paler, not as good looking to be honest. Ultimately, it's just a water bottle and it was a good price so I did not return it just because of the inexact color presentation. But if you only want the Cobalt color pictured then find another color because you won't get that color based on my own experience. Read more

The water bottles from the Takeya ACTIVES collection are awesome. I have a 24 oz. and a 40 oz. bottle. You put water and just a few ice cubes to keep the water cold for, in my case, more than 24 hours!!! No sweating, no leaking and a nice, easy, removable rubber base to keep it from slipping from a surface. Plus the cap is even insulated!! I tried it out during a hot and humid spell several times, starting in the morning and where the outside temperature reached about 100°, and the inside car temperature was easily 120° - 140° in the sun. I filled it with a few ice cubes and tap water. At the end of the day, the water was still ice cold. And it was still cold the next morning after keeping it in the car overnight!!! I don’t drink hot liquids, so I cannot help you much with that. But, I would expect the same quality, as advertised. If they promise 12 hours, then I would trust them. The hardest thing to do is let Security, at sporting and music events, allow me to take the empty water bottle into the stadium/arena. I bought 3 of these (midnight blue, blush, and mint-all spout lids and 18oz) in Nov 2020. My kids (ranging from 9-16 yrs) have used these the last 1.5 yrs every single day of school/soccer practice/park days/etc, and my boys aren’t exactly gentle with them. Water stays cold for a long time, especially with ice. ZERO LEAKS, ZERO MOLD, ZERO COMPLAINTS. That being said, we only put water in them. No juice, milk, etc, which can breed mold much easier, especially if left uncleaned. I just now took these pics and aside from minor scratches, these things look great! The rubber ring at the bottom of the blue one got lost and it’s too bad because we all really like that feature. Much quieter when you set the metal bottle down and the rubber helps the bottle stay in the mesh pockets of their backpacks instead of sliding out. I actually came back to buy a 4th for my Kindergartner and figured I’d leave a review. Very happy with them! (And way cheaper than some other water bottle brands.) Would definitely recommend!
