This is a beautiful skirl and very nicely constructed. The fit is true to size. I returned it though because the fabric is very very thick, more like a blanket than what I would expect in a skirt. It is never cold enough where I live (Virginia) to wear a skirt this thick so unfortunately I returned it. If you live in Minnesota or somewhere else that it gets really cold this would be great! Exactly what I was wanting. Good weight for the cooler weather, the color and pattern and as shown. I ordered a Small as I'm usually 27"-29" in the waist. It fits fits. The elastic in the back has enough give for sitting and is thick. I don't firsee it wearing out anytime soon. I don't wear anything without washing first. I washed this on cold and then put it into the dryer on delicate with a load of other soft items like sweatshirts and sweaters. I am shocked at how much I like this skirt! I am 6’ tall 140# 29” waist 39” hips and I ordered medium. I was hoping it would be long enough to wear with tall boots and it is 4” below the knee. The hem is wonky, longer in the back, a bit shorter on the sides but since it is fuller, it doesn’t look awkward. I pulled up over my hips without messing with zipper since reviews stated the zipper wasn’t great. I think I will order a different color but will get in large. The medium fits fine, just the tiniest bit of stretch to the elastic but I would prefer it to lay lower since I’m short waisted. It’ll be fine for an average waisted person. It’s warm, the pockets seem sturdy. Yes the pattern doesn’t line up but since it’s full and I got the smaller plaid pattern, it’s basically unnoticeable. For the price this is a great skirt. Ok here's the scoop, I have bought this skirt twice. I LOVED the look and feel of it but the zipper had a kink and I was unable to use it so I returned and rebought it for a second try. I tried the zipper on the second one and it zipped good enough. After I washed it, the kink in the new skirt started to cause problems in the same spot. So far if my husband helps me by starting at the bottom and gives it a running start he can get it all the way up. I just hope he doesn't zip my side in it one of these days. I actually love this skirt so much I decided to keep it and I will make arrangements to pay someone to rip the zipper out and put in a new one. So if you are a seamstress or know of one you should get this super warm, comfortable skirt, but be prepared to replace that zipper you stand a good chance of getting a faulty one. Read more

This is a beautiful skirt! I ordered the Navy plaid and it is gorgeous! The material looks and feels like 100% wool but without the itch. The lining is silky smooth and feels great on my skin. I love the nice pockets and the flat waist band in front, with stretch (for comfort) in the back. This is my 3rd or 4th wool skirt from Tanming and they continue to make products that are high quality at an affordable price. I did return this item because it didn't work for me, sadly. I tried this skirt in both a Medium and a Large and both technically fit me and looked great, but overall it wasn't right for my body/lifestyle. I have an "apple" shape with a soft 30" waist and a 39" hip measurement and the large wasn't snug enough to stay in place at my natural waist. The Medium was snug enough, but it gave me muffin top. As a "top heavy" woman (34F bustline) I wanted to be able to wear this with a fitted sweated to balance my proportions and the length and fullness of skirt. That wasn't going to happen. If I was curvier through the hip this size Large would have stayed on better and let me do that. The Medium would have been fine if my tummy was firmer or I was planning to wear this with a less fitted top - it was perfectly comfortable feeling, but not great looking on me, when wearing a fitted sweater. I really love this skirt, and bought it for costuming for a play and to wear afterwards. The skirt itself is great, but the zipper is broken and will not go up/down. I returned one already for the same issue and now the second one faces the same problem. It’s too late to return so after the play is done (I’ve been holding it closed with a safety pin) I just won’t be able to wear it. But both skirts having a broken zipper seems to be a problem. Exactly what I was looking for to use on a Christmas Market river cruise in December! The lining goes three quarters down. The material has a quality thickness and moves well. Some wrinkles but just let it hand up for a while and all is well. True to size. Read more
