I have bad feet but I wanted to try a sandal this year. It seemed as though in reviews this sandal and another brand had good arch support. I tried these and loved the fit. My forefoot is wide but the shoe has straps for each foot, so no problem to adjust them. That makes them nice for slightly narrower feet too. You just strap them tighter. I will only be able to wear them for going to a restaurant or other sedentary things as the arch was not high enough to stop my metatarsal pain. I doubt that that would be a problem to others, as that is the problem with my feet. The are, however bearable so I think most people would really like them as a casual sandal. These are one of my favorite go to shoes in the summer. These go with almost everything. The coloring is great and they can be dressed up or down, looks good with dresses and with shorts. I have four pairs of these sandals, all in different colors, bought within the last eight years. The quality has not changed at all. Love them! They are so comfortable that you almost do not feel wearing them - like walking on fine beach sand - I did not believe this could be possible with any footwear, especially for summer. My feet are wide and very sensitive. You can adjust the width to your preference. And they look so beautiful! The sole is made of remarkable material - moderately soft and provides good support - very ergonomic. Price is their only drawback. Read more

These are no doubt the nicest, most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. I was wearing Birkenstocks but these are so much better. More comfortable, better looking. I have a few pairs of Taos shoes, and love them all. They make such a quality product. I Recently received this pair of Prize 4 sandals in the snakeskin.They are a very nice looking shoe, and comfortable.They aren't as supportive as my other Taos sandals,and aren't as heavy either. That being said, it works for me to use them for more dressy situations, and I like having that option. I would definitely recommend this shoe if you don't absolutely need rigid support. Update: The heal of the Taos Prize 4 measures 3/4". However, the heel of your foot will be recessed once you put sandal on. It measures 1/2" in heel cup area. I hope that helps. This is my fifth pair of Taos shoes but my first pair of sandals. I have a narrow foot and sandals are hard to find that fit comfortably. The top two straps on this pair are Velcro adjustable. That is the only reason why I was able to keep these. They have decent arch support which Taos brand is know for. They are decently comfortable but because of the fit on me I do not think I would be wearing them if I had to walk in them for an extended period of time. People with a normal to wider width foot most likely won’t experience this issue. Read more
