Very powerful. Mounts easily good build quality. I did cut the foam filter and add in some ceramic media to support a good ecosystem. The uv algae killer is no joke. I put this in a dirty green tank just to see if It could clean it. It stopped the growth cold and cleared the water in less than 24 hours (it was very very murky) I now understand why the uv light is separately controlled from the filter as it would kill too much algae if left on. I like to leave a little for the snails to munch I have it in a little tank and it is a little loud but thats due to the depth. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I was skeptical, but I tried it, I decided to give it enough time before writing this review. I purchased this on January 19th,2026. The day it arrived I cleaned the tank and set it up. Today is March 6th, 2026. I have Not had to clean the tank since( yes the filter in the pump, but that is all). No more green on the tank glass and no more hazy water. I 100% recommend this small aquarium filter U-V pump. Would definitely buy another if I set up another tank. Read more

This is a great product. My water was foggy before I got this product. 3 days later the water is super clear. The pump is really strong, so I purchased a sponge and cut it in half and zip tied it to the nozzle and it worked perfectly. Read more

Okay to be clear on this product, I am not paid for this review whatsoever. I see all the review discrepancies and this product is amazing but you have to have it perfectly in the right placement. This UV filter is a life saver for any tank, however, it’s quirky in the sense that it needs to be a specific level in your tank and with a specific amount of water levelization or it will stop working all together. You do have to play with the placement inside the tank (move it up and down a tinch) and play with your water levels (volume wise as adding more or less water to your tank) a little but it will come back to life 100 percent. Use an extension cord as well to allow more access to move it accordingly. When you do this— it works perfectly. The UV additions to my canister did not do the job this guy does. Read more

Does what it’s supposed to do with ease! I had a significant bacterial bloom in my 20g nano reef tank that was getting out of hand. I knew I needed a UV on this system but was on the fence on which one to get. I took a gamble on this, even though I knew it wouldn’t fit in my AIO chambers. HOLY COW! Less than 72 hours after dropping it in the tank and plugging it in, water is Clear! This is not a high quality piece of gear, but it works for its intended purpose and is an extreme bargain over higher end UV systems. If you don’t intend to run UV all the time and need to remedy a current problem, I have no hesitation in recommending this.
